A simple, normal life. For Yukki, such kind of life would be his ideal one.
He wanted to do what most of his peers would.
He wanted to laugh freely, to enjoy, to cry, to feel strong emotions.
He wanted to be enthustiastic and energetic, to be able to do strenous activities and exert his muscles, tiring them, and feel his sweat dripping.
He wanted that feeling when one feels his heartbeat get faster and louder every second, whether from anger, joy, or nervousness.
He wanted be able to love freely and most importantly, unworringly.
Yukki wanted to experience all these without pain as his consequence. It felt like torture everytime an intense feeling engulfs him. He needed to avoid those, and so he should be cautious with every action to be done.
But how could he when he came to love someone? He knows that he loves his family and relatives, but when it comes to that person, it becomes a different case. Yukki loved that person romantically. He tried almost everyday to stop himself, yet he failed every time.
What's harder is that his parents work out of the country to secure his financial needs, and he was forced to live in his own unit with his younger sister, Yukita. Both of them miss their parents so much, and it was hard for him to be some kind of burden to his sister since she takes care of him solely.
Since his actions were restricted, he became more of a silent and reserved person. Even his thoughts were not that too many or loud-- well, except for the ones about a certain someone. Eventually he wasn't too expressive in portraying his emotions, but that didn't make him a block of ice. He was more of a shy type.
One morning...
"Niichan, you need to cut your hair," said Yukita, her sister, as they ate their breakfast.
"Can you even see in them?"
"Hm," her brother nodded, touching his long bangs.
"They don't bother my vision that much."
"That much?"
Yukki only looked at his sister, then gave her a nod.
"Geez, I don't understand you, really." she muttered while shaking her head.
"What?"
"Whatever~"
They silently continued eating and only their plates and utensils were heard clattering. Yukita glanced at his brother time to time as if checking him.
When I talk to other people, I feel uncomfortable and I get all fidgety and keep stuttering. But whenever I'm with my sister, I feel at ease with her. And because of that I came to understand her a lot, thought Yukki
He doesn't seem pale or sweating, so I guess he's okay. Maybe I shouldn't overthink stuff?
"You do that everytime."
