I woke up to the humming sound of Spring birds singing outside my window. It was such a sunny day, no clouds or anything!
And then something suddenly bashed me on the arm. HARD. Continuously.
"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! What the -" I stop as I look up.
I see my older sister standing there, with her long blonde hair hanging down past her shoulders and her smile from one eye to another.
She laughed as I continued my unfinished sentence. "- heck was that for?" I question angrily.
"Happy birthday silly!" She giggles, her smile getting wider and wider.
"Okay, so was that my birthday gift or something? Getting slapped again and again straight after I woke up?! What the hell Alana!" I moan angrily as I get up.
Suddenly Alana begins laughing hysterically, again.
"Ever heard of 'birthday bashes'?" She asks
"That hard Alana?!" I ask again, but this time I am laughing.
My sister can be annoying at times, but she is older than me so I have to accept that she can get away with bossing me around.
"Well, aren't you going to get up silly? We are heading out in an hour. And do not dare have a shower, I am going to use it." She grins evilly while walking into my brown wooden door.
"Damn this!" She cursed and walked out angrily this time.
"I'll get into that shower before you!" I yelled before she slammed the door.
Then, the door re-opened.
"No, because I am walking into the bathroom right now, and using all the hot water, silly!" She laughs and slams the door again.
"If you call me silly one more time you will get it in the face!" I yell even though I know she will not hear me.
To my surprise she does hear me, and once again, re-opens the door.
"I'm older than you, I do what I want, silly!" She exclaims and walks out, again!
"Just have your dumb shower already eh?" I yell at the top of my voice.
I turn around to make my bed as I hear somebody knock. My first thought;
It is not Alana because she never knocks, and instead she just barges into my room, so rude.
I look back and see my mom and dad walking in, holding presents.
"Happy 14th birthday!" Says my mom as she hugs me tight.
"Yeah, my little girl is growing up so quickly! You're nearly catching up with Alana!" My dad laughs.
"Good one dad but she is 19. There is a big difference!" I laugh and add "-but yeah, what's in those bags I wonder..." I wink and grin as they laugh.
"You open them," they smile as they hand me my bags.
"Oh my ... What! Oh guys. What the heck, what the hell!" I scream as I look down at my gift, it was my dream Louis Vuitton bag which I was saving up for. It was on sale last month for £1000 and now my parents bought me it for even more expensive.
"Thank Alana, it is from her not us," they laugh as she steps in and gives me a hug.
"Thanks so much, I... I am, SPEECHLESS THIS IS PERFECT!" I hug her and give her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey, it's fine! I was saving up for it," she smiles.
"You said you were saving up for a car! Liar!" I laugh.
"Well, we got you something too Gwen!" smile my mom and dad.
My real name is Gwendolyn but I hate that name and people call me Gwen.
This time I look down to see a diamond Chanel ring in my mom's hand. I nearly pass out.
"It's okay don't say anything. I know you are speechless," she laughs.
"And then I nearly get a heart attack as my dad hands me a Dolce & Gabbana perfume.
"I have no words to describe my happiness at this second, Oh my god," I whisper as a happy tear spills from my eye and my family laugh at me, but obviously, happiness does not last forever.
