It was one night;
He carried me to bed
And tucked me to sleep.
He kissed me on my forehead
Then he said his goodbye.
I rose up even still felt sleepy.
I hugged him and said in mumbling words,
That even myself cannot understand.
And he hugged me back,
And we walked towards the door.
We talked but I didn't know what it was.
All I can see was we were both smiling.
We were asked by my father and friends,
"Where are you going?" and I replied,
" Si Bert lang po ang uuwi."
Until we reached the porch,
While we are still hugging each other.
He said, " Sige na, habo ta kang magcollapse." (Sige na, ayaw kitang magcollapse.)
I frowned and asked, " Tano man?" (Bakit naman?)
He smiled and said,
" Baka kaya magsabog na iyang pinupugulan mong nararamdaman diyan sa puso mo." (Baka kasi sumabog na yang pinipigilan mong nararamdaman diyan sa puso mo.)
I felt my blood rushed through my head.
I hid my face on his hard chest.
I heard him chuckled and
His arms tighten around me.
He knew. He knew what I feel for him.
I hugged him tight too.
How good it was to be in his arms.
I was so happy.
I wish this time will never end.
But suddenly, I opened my eyes.
I saw myself on my bed.
I gathered my thoughts and then it hit me.
The sad truth is...
It was just a DREAM.
