In 2012 Jared Orsborn was troubled by his previous year. He lost everyone who he thought he could count on and he was giving up on the world. One day, on June 21st, his mother asked him if he wanted to go to a place called funplex. She said it would give him time to be happy again, so he tried and went. He did everything there, a large water slide, a lazy river, but he couldn't find any joy in any of it, that is until he went to a wave pool. He was just sitting on the side at first minding his own business when suddenly he felt a kick, and a young girl about 12 looked at him with fear in her eyes and said "I'm sorry." He gave her a wide grin to wipe away the fear and said "it's okay." He looked behind her and a little bit older girl, probably 14, looked away from him and pushed herself in the water. The same thing happened two more times until the 12 year old went to the restroom. He looked over and he heard a kid ask his father for something and the father said "No! You're not my son anymore!" He burst into laughter but right after he stopped, he looked at the 14 year old and saw her laughing too, so Jared said "Talk about neglection." She giggled and looked at him, and he felt a little bit safe again, a little bit happy, but not too much. He never thought for another half a year how much this young girl who is small to the world would be so big in his.
