The Prologue - Gio's POV
I took one last look--yeah, right--at my reflection before heading off. Well, not really. That's true up until the "heading off" part. I kind of had to completely rework my outfit, my make-up, and of course the wild animal that nests atop my head and never migrates, my hair. I know, I'm pathetic--but this was a VERY big deal. It was my first ever meeting at the school's debate team, and I had to make a good impression. If I looked bad, no one would ever take my suggestions seriously. Well, maybe they would. But that wasn't a risk I was willing to take. I signed up with my friends Simon and Hazel because we were all interested. Obviously. Why else would we sign up?
Crap, maybe I should do my hair in a ponytail instead...
-Stop freaking out. You look fine.
-I don't. And what would YOU know about looking fine?
-I'm going to be the bigger person and pretend you didn't just insult me. I'll tell you about the view from up here, on the high road, when I return.
-Sorry. I guess I'm just freaking out a little.
-As I said earlier. Just calm down. You're GIOVANNA CADENZA, for Pete's sake! You'll be fine.
-Thanks.
That was my twin brother, Stephano. We weren't talking. Or texting. This might be difficult to explain--you know how they say twins can communicate telepathically? I bet you thought that was a myth. I probably would too if I didn't know it was true.
A/N- yeah, my second new story! Surprise! I was thinking about my sisters- who are twins- and came up with this idea. I am writing this with my friend whom I call Banana. I shall put her wattpad name in the next chapter. Fyi, all chapters from Gio's pov, such as this one, are written by my friend. I'm doing Stephano's pov. Thanks!
Minnow Out!
