Need a sitter

Jeremy's POV

I just got notice of the new apocalypse of the damned game and that it comes out in two weeks. After finding that out, I rushed over to Michael's place. I barged through the door, said hi to Mr. and mrs. Mell and ran down to the basement.

"Michael, you're not going to believe what I just found out" I say getting to the bottom of the stairs.

"Is it about the new apocalypse of the damned game coming out on the 20th" Michael said looking up from his phone.

"Yes, yes it is" I say with excitement.

"Dude it's going to be like $55 dollars. How are we going to get that kind of money?" Michael asked.

"Umm, we can babysit?" I say having it sound more like a question.

"That might work actually, we should make posters" Michael suggested. We made posters and set them up all around town. We actually got a call the day we put them up. It was a single father with a 9 year old little girl, a 5 year old boy, and a year one baby girl, he had a date and need us to babysit for the time he's gone. Me and Michael were up for it, and would get paid $10 an hour. We'll get the money in no time. We arrived at the house and knocked on the door.

"You must be the sitters, I'm Mark, this is Alayna, Parker, and McKenzie. Numbers are on the fridge, money for pizza is on the table and the older kids need to be in bed by 9, McKenzie  by 6. Thank you again for coming by. I should be back by 10" Mark explained, then handed me the McKenzie and left.

"Well who wants pizza?" Michael asked entering the house, as I follow behind. The house was rather nice and really clean.

"Are you two dating?" Parker asked me. I was taking back that a kid so young would ask such a question, my face started to heat up.

"No we're just best friends" I say tithe young boy.

"That's what my daddy said about his date a week ago" the young boy said.

"Okay pizza is on its way, what do you guys want to do till then?" Michael asked, entering the room.

"I'm going to feed the baby, since it's 5:30, I want to try and get her to bed" I say walking into the kitchen and putting McKenzie in her high chair and grabbed some baby food. I guess she likes what ever it is that I'm giving her because she was very cooperative and ate half the can. I cleaned up her messy face and carried her up to her room. As I passed the living room I could see Michael playing the game of life with the other children. I rocked the baby to sleep, turned on the baby Monitor and went downstairs to see how Michael was doing. He just landed on the marriage spot and he grabbed a little blue peg in his red car.

"Is that Jeremy?" Alayna asked. Michael busted out laughing at the question.

"First it was Christine, then my parents, now kids ship us? Man maybe we should be together" Michael said gaining he steady breeding back.

"How about we talk about this later Michael" I say as there was a knock on the door. I grabbed the money off the table, open the door and grabbed the pizza.

"Pizza is here" I say walking into the kitchen. We ate dinner then watched a couple Disney movies and the kids fell asleep. Michael helped me carry them to their rooms. It was only 9 so we had an hour to spare so Michael and I continued to watch movies on the couch.

"Maybe we would be good together" I say giving Michael a hint.

"Yeah maybe we should give it a try" he said pulling me closer.
