"Darling get up! You need to get ready for the ball!" My mother sang from the other side of the door.
"Ugh why? I don't need a ball!" I groaned a muffled replied with my face in my pillow, my oh so soft pillow.
"Get the hell up now!" She demanded.
I rolled sideways off the bed and stood up with my mum still banging on the door seems I still haven't replied. "Amberley-rose Millar, get out here this instant!" She screeched. I gave in and obeyed her orders, lazily walking over to the door lightly putting my hand on the door just as I heard hushed yelling whispers from my parents on the outside of the door.
I suddenly didn't want to walk out there so walked to my large ensuite. There was a bathtub on the left wall, a shower in the other corner and a sink and large bench and sink in between the bath and shower, and a toilet in the corner on the room at the end of the bath.
I stripped myself of my clothes and stepped into the shower turning on the water. I fiddled with the knobs to make it the perfect temperature. I soaked my body with the water and covered it in soap. Eventually I got out, dried myself, and got into some denim high waisted shorts, and blue and black midriff top with a pair of thongs.
I walked out of my room and was greeted with tall hallways and chandeliers hanging from the roof.
Getting to the kitchen I got myself a bowl and poured some cereal in it even though my servant, Thomas, always insisted that he made me food.
He's a nice guy but he want to do everything for me.

I sat by the pool, in the evening sun the warmed my skin with its rays. The pool area was peaceful with the only sounds being the pool water, the slight ruffling of the leaves and the occasional bird chirp.
The silence was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. I turned to see my mother.
Ugh.
"Hi sweetie" she tried to use a friendly tone but it was forced and I knew where this conversation was going.
"Mum, I don't want a ball to find myself a guy. I'm to young, I'll find someone myself, who I like" I replied pleading.
"Look, you don't know who you like so me and your father will choose someone for you."
"No, I'm not going, I need to make my own decisions" I'm now annoyed and on the verge of anger.
"Amberley you are going if you like it or not" she yelled at me, causing a deafening silence.
I got up and stormed away stoping like a 4 year old.
I know I'm so mature.
I'm so angry, annoyed, sad or miserable is a better word.
I never make my own decisions and my mothers rules every second of my life.
But something, a feeling inside of me told me to go. So I grabbed a bag and started packing, putting shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, underwear and bras.

The moons light filtered through my curtains as I grabbed a few last things and quietly dragged my stuff down the hallway. I heard someone walking towards me so I dove for a chair and hid behind it as the person that was walking in pitch blackness went past. I waited for them to walk a little further then picked everything up and hurried to the front door. I twisted the lock causing a click and walked out.
The air was fresh and cool, there was a slight breeze. I walked down my driveway and to a nearby bus stop.
After waiting 10 minutes which felt like forever for the bus to show up. I got in gave the driver some money and took a seat in the middle of the bus and I drove of into the night.
