Ever since that day my sister has been with me. It's been two years and she hasn't aged so I came to the conclusion that she died and her spirit is with me. I was in denial the whole time as I could see her yet my parents couldn't and every time I mentioned she was with me they'd glare at me. I think they blamed me for what happened. When I woke up they were crying over the body on the bed as I was left in the corner.

They seemed to have a part of them die as their smiles changed to frowns. The general atmosphere turned cold and gloomy and they seemed to not care anymore. Both of them had quit their jobs soon after the incident. Staring into space my sister once again appeared and began to tap my shoulder. I've gotten used to her appearing out of nowhere now. "Why are you with me?" The question came out without me even noticing. Her tapping suddenly stopped and there was a few minutes of silence.

"I don't know anymore." Her voice was smooth yet quiet and my body tensed up at how unnatural it sounded. We both fell silent as I continued to do my assignment which needed to be handed in tomorrow. Once again she began to tap me.
"Thalia not now." She didn't reply however instead appeared in front of me her eyes wide. At once I turned and saw nothing however my hairs stood on end and goosebumps appeared on my arms and legs as I shivered in fright.

Rubbing my arms nervously I heard my mum knock on my door before it turned silent. Seems like she's left my dinner outside my door like usual. My chair creaked as I got up and headed towards the door and slowly opened it. Peaking out all I saw was darkness as my parents were downstairs and all the lights apart from mine were turned off. Reaching down I patted the floor to realise there was nothing there. Frowning I once again shivered just as mum walked up. Glancing at me she remained silent but gave me a puzzled expression.

In her hands was my dinner. "Did you knock on my door a minute ago?" My question seemed to confuse her even more as she began to head towards me.
"No I didn't. Why?" She seemed concerned as she glanced around nervously. "Maybe it was the wind." She suggested as she handed me the plate of mash potato, beans and sausages.
"Yeah maybe. Thank you."

Nodding at me once she turned around her emotions once again turning gloomy. Turning around I closed the door with my foot just as Thalia once again appeared. "That was weird." Her voice was slightly louder as she glanced around more agitated than me. "What is going on..." She trailed off before going towards the wall that takes her to her room. Once again she vanished making me frown.

I don't like this at all. This is way too weird. First my parents don't even notice. Second Thalia is acting stranger considering she is a spirit. Third something clearly isn't right. Looking down at me food I smiled slightly as I walked over to my desk and placed the plate down with a slight ting noise. Sitting down I began to eat some of the potato when I noticed something. My work was missing. "Thalia this isn't funny. Give me back my work!" I whispered in my angry kind of way. I didn't get a response at all not even a flicker of a light. "Thalia I'm being serious." Cursing quietly I headed towards my door to only freeze when my light started to flicker. "Thalia..." I hissed as I turned around.

Something told me it wasn't her just as the face of someone I didn't know appeared to peer at me through my window. Letting out an ear piercing scream I pressed myself as much as I could against the wall my eyes wide. Whoever it was just remained still as we stared at each other. It's unnatural eyes seemed to stare at me in surprise however it's claws told me what it could do once it came out of surprise. Tapping my wall with my hands I tried to locate the door handle.

It watched my every move in a curious kind of way. Suddenly it's back arched and it's body seems to crack into different places making me scream once more. Then it vanished and everything went quiet except the urgent tapping of footsteps on the stairs. "What in the world are you screaming at!" My dad yelled as he slammed the door open annoyed. Once he caught sight of me he fell silent as tears were pouring down my face and I was violently shaking.

"There was something outside my window." I had to repeat myself as the first time I said it my voice was too quiet. Straight away my dad walked over to the window and opened it making me jump in surprise and fear. What is he doing? I tell him something it out there and he goes and opens the window. What is wrong with him! Glaring at him slightly annoyed my heart wouldn't stop hammering as he put his head outside and glanced left and right before sighing dramatically.

"It must have been your imagination." He huffed before moving his head back in and shutting the window after. He glanced at me in disbelief shook his head and started heading towards the door. Just because he can't see it doesn't mean it wasn't there.
"Sorry..." I mumbled as he remained silent and didn't even glance at me as he walked out.

"Goodness that was rough." Thalia's words made me turn and glare at her.
"Yeah it was and where was you?" I snapped not so quietly. At once she flinched and looked away. "What?" I snapped.
"I was unable to come in..." She trailed off her words making me go cold and even more freaked out.
"What do you mean?" I asked my voice sounded raspy.
"I mean someone or something was preventing me." Her words made me think of that creature as I headed towards my bed and fell upon it with a huge sigh.
