Chapter Three

Harry's P.O.V

I woke up around 10 am and got out of bed. I walked over to the bathroom and splashed my face with water, I looked in the mirror. I then, went to Kate's bedroom.

"Kate?" I asked opening the door only to realize my sister wasn't in there. I walked over to Zayns room

"Zayn? Have you seen kate?"

"Not since last night?"

"okay" I walked over to Niall's bedroom, I looked in to see if he was still asleep, I saw him holding my sister in his arms... Like I did when she was little. Kate looked so happy right there, like she belonged there. That's when I knew, I couldn't let Zayn take her out.

"Zayn?" I said barging into his bedroom. "Yeah?" he asked me

"I'm sorry but I can't let you take my sister out."

"Harry! You said it yourself, you don't control who she loves!"

"Zayn. I understand that, but believe me... Just let her ask you out okay?"

"why!?"

"Trust me Zayn.... Don't make me regret letting her meet you." then I walked out.

Niall's P.O.V

I woke up; careful not to wake Kate. She moved in her sleep, she was facing me now, but her eyes closed and she was dreaming. I looked at her face, it was pretty... And I wanted to call her mine. I wanted to say I love you and make sure she heard it. I leaned over and kissed her cheek, she then woke up but didn't notice what I'd done.

"Good morning sleeping beauty" I laughed.

"How can you think I'm pretty? Your the beautiful one here". Her British voice mumbled.

"You don't know your beautiful". I said making her tired eyes smile. This was the perfect time to tell her, tell her how I felt... Maybe I should wait for later thought, maybe she'll build up feelings for me... Unless she's waiting for me already.... But we just met yesterday..

"Niall" she asked I looked up. She leaned in and kissed me, on the lips. I smiled wanting to say 'you don't know how long I've been waiting for that' but I didn't. Instead I kissed back, and finally she stopped. When she did, her eyes were closed and mine were open. I was so surprised

"What was that for?" I said nicely

"I don't know.. I was just stuck in the moment..." she smiled. I grinned and

asked "By any chance are you still in the moment"? I joked she smiled and kissed my cheek. I watched her get up and stretch out a bit. I followed her and then walked downstairs where I saw Harry watching TV by himself. Kate was still upstairs probably getting dressed.

Kate's P.O.V

I kissed him. I kissed Niall James Horan. I'm so stupid I said to myself in the mirror. What if he likes me now? What if he liked me before? What if!? Uhhhh why does life have to be so confusing!? I washed my face off and I walked down stairs, I walked into a conversation, I peaked into the conversation, lucky for me they were just beginning.

"Hey" Harry said his face down.

"Hey...." Niall said back "Harry what's wrong"? Harry looked up

"Well.. Honestly I saw you and Kate, sleeping... But yesterday Zayn asked if he could date her, and I said that I don't control who she loves, but this morning when I saw you and her, Kate... She looked so happy, I knew I couldn't let him date her, the one time my sister looks like she belongs, I'm not letting her let that go... So I told Zayn not to ask her out, but he asked why and I said 'Just trust me, let her ask you out!' and he yet again asked why! And I said 'Trust me, don't make me regret letting her meet you', now I feel like a jerk!? She's my sister, why does it have to be Kate! It's my job to protect her... Isn't it?" he asked at Niall.

"Well, I don't know if I should say this but Kate told me that she thinks Zayn is a great guy, that any girl would be lucky to have her.. But she's not any girl. Also that she likes someone else"! He whispered. Harry sort of smiled

"Did she tell you?"

"no, but she trusts me."

"Niall, your so stupid at times, It's you!" Harry laughed "Kate likes you"!

"She can't like me?! Can she?" he worried.

"Of course she can!" Harry laughed but Niall just sat there

"Well um.... I guess she can like me, but I've only known her for a day".

"Nonsense! A person can like someone anytime, love doesn't have time".

"Okay.. Harry, if Zayn can't date her I can't either"?!

"No.. Um I guess that wouldn't be fair, so she can ask you out!"

"Oh... Okay" I thought this would be a good time to walk in and sit down. I sat down in-between Harry and Niall.

"Did you hear any of that". Niall asked...

"Any of what?" I said awkwardly. They both sighed in relief, Harry changed the subject "So what's the plan for today?"

"Um I don't know... LOUIS"! Niall called out.

"Jeez Niall I'm right behind you". Louis laughed "What do your need " he asked Niall. But Harry spoke for him

"What's on today's schedule?"

"We have to go down to the record station, Simon wants us to run through a few songs". He said

"what time"? Zayn said running down the stairs. "We should probably go now" Harry said getting up. Niall asked me "Kate? Would you like to join us?" I nodded

"Sure". I said, Niall smiled and I grabbed his hand, then we all raced out side to the car, Harry and Louis took the front seats so me, Liam and Niall along with Zayn hopped in the back. I wanted to ask Niall in private so it would be more romantic. I looked at Zayn who was staring out the window. I decided to make him smile, I elbowed him in the arm, "What's up?" I whispered. He looked at me...

"I... I don't get it". He whispered to me

"what don't you get?" I whispered

"How can you love him, I can do everything he can do". He whispered. "Zayn, I didn't say yes to you last night because-" he interrupted me

"Niall, he asked you out didn't he?" he said angrily in his whisper, luckily the music was to loud for anyone to hear us. "No, No Zayn, I know that when you want something you get it. And you want me, you want me to be yours, honestly babe, I wish I could love you, but even I don't chose that darling. Any girl in this world would be so lucky to have you... But I, I'm not her... Please Zayn, I like you"-

"But you love him"? He finished my sentence wrongly

"No, I don't know okay? This isn't some Edward and Jacob love triangle okay? I like you Zayn, but I can't love you. I want too so, so, so much, but every time I tell myself to let you in, my heart closes and it keeps you out! Your a great guy, and I'm stupid for loving someone else. Believe me Zayn, I want to love you, but.... I can't. What can I do?"

I whispered to him. He looked sad, I looked out the window; we had around five minutes. "I'm sorry... I know this will hurt you, but it hurts me too, and I know your going to say no, but I have to know if your the one"

"Zayn? Are you wanting me to... Kiss you?" I whispered

"I'm sorry I even said anything." he whispered back. I gave in, "Okay.. But only once and you have to promise if you don't feel any sparks you won't tell me a lie."

"I promise, and if I don't feel anything, you have to help me with a couple things..." he smiled

"Zayn, if it makes you feel better I'd do anything but something stupid..." I whispered shyly

"Oh believe me it's not anything like that"... That's when Liam yelled "We're here"! We all jumped out and Niall smiled at me. We all walked in and as soon as they saw Simon they ran to him, but he looked at me "Who's this"? He gestured towards me. Harry smiled "Oh this is my sister, KateLynn Styles".
