Named after the poem in my last collection. Hope you enjoy.
Mary Jane
Im Sitting on the Empire State Building,
Watching crime ravage the city.
But I'm too busy moping to help.
I swing to the ground,
And without a sound,
I feel sorry for myself.
I come home to find,
Superman taking what's mine.
And now the city's hell.
But I'll keep fighting crime,
For you, till I die.
And I'll be your superhero if you'll be mine.
You'll be my Mary Jane, my Louis Lane.
And slowly we'd go insane,
And all we'll need is each other.
One day you will come home late,
I'll say "honey it's past eight"
And you won't look me in the eyes.
You'll say you found somebody else.
Who's got it all planned out.
And a big white House.
And spidey will sit watching over the city...
Think "Does she miss me?"
