Tears stream down her face.
Makeup smeared,
she clutches your note tightly to her chest
She runs to her room,
locking the door as she goes.
What have you done?
She wipes the tears away
but they keep coming back.
Wet sobs rack her body
as she throws everything in arms reach.
So much anger, sadness, and confusion.
What did she do wrong?
You said you were fine.
"It was just the cat."
She thought you told each other everything.
Why did you lie?
She finally calms down,
room destroyed.
She crawls into bed,
wishing you were still here.
Where did you go?
She thinks about all of your last memories
you seemed so happy.
'I could have stopped you'
she thinks as more tears cascade down her cheek
'If i had payed more attention,
I could have been there when you really needed me'
"I'm sorry."
Only when the pink and orange ribbons in the sky showed up,
did she fall asleep.
The teddy bear you gave her
tucked neatly between her arms.
Why would you do this?
The next morning her parents came in,
not having slept well either.
They shake her gently,
telling her its time for breakfast.
Look what you did to her
She didn't wake up that day.
An empty bottle of pills and a note,
laid on her nightstand.
Her parents,
shocked and depressed,
picked up the note.
"Forever and always"
A/N: Ya know, I wrote this poem in like February or March of 2014. At the time I had no one in mind, it was just a poem that i thought of. Now that i reread it, I can't believe how true this might become soon...
