Morgan sat on the bleachers, exhausted. It was right before the emcee announced who won finals, and who got the show-stopper awards. She laid her head on Gavin's shoulder. In front of her Ari was having fun showing Marcus how to dance the classic show choir fist-pump dance, and Ashley was purposely doing it badly.

"You sounded fantastic Morgan," Gavin whispered into her hair. She smiled.

"Thanks Gavin. I was singing to you as best I could," she said. Gavin smiled.

"I could tell. I held up the first flashlight, could you tell?" He asked. Morgan looked at him shocked.

"You did?" She asked.

"Of course. After all, you needed someone who likes you enough to start it," he said shrugging. Morgan blushed.

"You like me?" She asked innocently. He shrugged and nodded.

"Yeah. I like you, a lot," he said to her.

"Ashley! It's up up, down down, not down down, up up!" Ari exclaimed. Ashley laughed.

"I know I just wanted to make you mad," she said laughing. Gavin smiled and kissed Morgan on the top of her head. Morgan blushed and gave him a hug.

"I like you too," she said into his chest. He embraced her as the emcee walked onto stage.

"Good evening Eau Claire Showcase!" He said. Holland tapped Morgan and smiled at her having seen the whole exchange. Morgan blushed and nodded. Holland smiled before turning back to the stage. Sam shook his head at her. "Now that everyone is here, may I please have the finalists come onstage?" As the school's representatives walked onstage, Holland moved closer to Morgan.

"You should be lucky you have a guy like Gavin," She said happily. "He's a needle in a haystack of boys." Morgan giggles.

"So is Sam," she said laughing. Sam turned his head to them. "Huh? What?" He asked. "I heard my name called."

"Uhh... Girl talk," Morgan said, blushing. Sam gives them both a weird smile and a nod of his head before turning back to Carter and Jackson, talking about something else.

"Alright, now that I have your attention, it is time to announce the show stoppers!" the emcee announced. "From Davenport West, Hadley Tenenson!" A girl ran up to get the medal. "From Hillside Hillsiders, Fred Stanley!" a boy ran up stage from the back of the gym and got his medal. "From Holmen Midwest Express, Sam Gunderson!" As the boy went up to collect his medal, Holland tapped Sam's shoulder.

"I think I'm seeing double here," She joked to him as they both laugh.

"He's your twin brother, homeboy?" Carter asked me.

I laughed. "Um, no. I would know about him if he was." They all laughed. As the boy sat down, the emcee continued.

"From Tryverg Mane Stage, Morgan Christenson!" Morgan was shocked. As she stood, the others around her cheered. She went up to collect her medal and the emcee smiled at her.

"Congrats, good job on your solo as well. You deserve this," he said to her as he put the medal around her neck. She sat back down and smiled to Gavin and Holland, showing them her medal. "And finally from Seven Cities Valley Viewers, Carly Meyers!" a girl from the back ran up and got her medal before the emcee continued.

"Now that Show-stoppers have been given out and announced, it is time for the awards. 5th runner up," the emcee announced grabbing the 5th runner up trophy. A faint drum roll started in the gym. "Seven Cities Valley Viewers!" he announced. Cheers were heard as they collected their trophy. "4th runner up, Davenport West! 3rd runner up, Hillside Hillsiders! 2nd runner up, Gelsen Top Notch Singers! And finally, best band," a drum roll was let loose in the gym. "Tryverg Mane Stage!" Everyone cheered as Emily and Logan collected the award. "Best vocals goes to," another drum roll. "Tryverg Mane Stage!" they all cheered louder as Emily and Logan collected that award as well. "Alright, now you all know the rules, cheers will be for the 1st runner up now, not the grand champs yet. We have two schools left to announce, and 1st runners up are..." a loud drum roll is heard, and the emcee pauses for effect. "Midwest Express!" cheers are heard across the gym as they got their award. Morgan's jaw dropped in excitement.

"That means.." she trailed off as the emcee continued.

"So, that leaves the Grand Champs of this year's Eau Claire Showcase: Tryverg Mane Stage!" he announced. The gym was filled with cheers, and Morgan was cheering loudly as she stood and gave Gavin a big bear hug. Out of excitement, she kissed him. He was startled at first before he kissed her back, equally as excited.

"Morgan we- Oh! Okay," Ashley started before turning back around. As they let go, Holland gave Morgan a bear hug.

"Grand Champs!" She squeaked out excitedly. Morgan smiled and turned back to Gavin who seemed frozen in place. She waved her hand in front of his face before he shook his head slightly and smiled. He pulled Morgan in for a hug before whispering in her ear.

"Does this mean a yes to being my girlfriend?" he asked. Morgan nodded.

"Of course!" She said, excited. Ari had just jumped up to the bleacher that the others were on and she went up to Sam.

"We did it!" she said giving him a hug. "Thank you so much! If I was still with Abygale, I would've missed this part of the night."

He hugged her back. "You're welcome! Or, as my family would say, 'Noʻu ka hauʻoli,' which...essentially is the same thing," He said with a laugh. Ari smiled.

"Thanks. I guess I need to redye my hair, now that I am not friends with Abygale. Even though the streak was my thought," she said randomly. Morgan smiled and hugged Ari.

"I am glad you had a change of heart, Ari," she said. "Come on, let's head back to the room and get packed up."

Waiting for the bus...

"Sam, Holland, the rest of you all, thanks for coming up to Eau Claire to watch us," Morgan said, giving each of them a hug.

Carter nodded and gave the rest with a thumbs-up. "Anytime! We're staying the night at the hotels before leaving Sunday morning."

"Oh, we were going to head back right away," Morgan explained. She gave Holland another hug.

"Thank you so much! You guys are the best! Keep in touch please?" she asked, her voice filled with sadness.

"Of course we will!" She said happily. Morgan smiled and gave them each another hug.

"I'll see you all some other time," she said as they left the school. Morgan smiled and waved goodbye to them as she got onto the bus.
