He was walking in the streets to taste some fresh air, or as he preferred saying 'bathing in fresh air' (his excellent humour), when he spotted her in front of a shop with a young man.

She was wearing a bright blue sweater, hence making it easy for the eyes to land on her. His pace turned slower and slower as his attention wrapped around the guy talking to her.

Obviously he knew he could be a friend, but the instant jealousy that bloomed on his chest at the sight was unavoidable. He wished he could speak to her as nonchalantly as that guy was.

When her eyes moved across the road to see him as if she had sensed his presence, his head whipped away from them and he started walking again, praying that she didn't really notice him.
