It was Wednesday morning on the 8th day of February when I asked my cousin to research about my project in TLE for me. She was in leave for 1 week that time so thank God I have someone who can help me with my project.
Everytime I have a problem, not just in my studies she's always been there. Probably why I adore her so much. We leave in a small apartment together with my 3 brothers and I share my room with her, so even my little secrets she knows. She's my hero, my bestfriend and my sister. All-in-one.
"Eat first, that's why you're getting thin." I heard my older brother said when I'm about to go.
It's already 6:30 and my first class will start at 7:30.
My cousin is in the bathroom and my two brothers are too tired and sleepy to get up from their bed.
"I'll just eat in school Tony." I said sweetly before picking one apple in the table before storming out.
I heard him groaned before I closed the door.
I walked in inside our classroom wearing my usual smile. Everybody knows me as a happy-go-lucky girl aside from being the top student in our batch.
"Hey Meli, I have something to tell you. Come on." one of my friends said and just grabbed me towards our seat.
"What is it? Make sure it's a good news Deb." I jokingly said.
She giggled.
"It is! And I'm sure you'll like it."
"Tell me." I said curiously.
"My baby brother will have his 6th birthday on the 16th day, and he wants you to come..."
"And?"
What about it? Jino always invite me during his birthday. So what's the big deal?
"Sir Paulo will be there!!" she exclaimed and giggled like a little girl.
It took me minutes before realizing what she said.
"Geez, are you sure? You told me that last time and he didn't came."
"Don't worry I'm very sure this time." And then she winked at me.
She knows I have a crush on our PE teacher.
Sir Paulo is a bachelor and one of the most oustanding young professor in our school. He is Jino's godfather that's why he's invited.
"By the way, Meli, our interschool competition will be move on Friday. So we still have time to practice."
"Okay, I invited my cousin to be here. Is that okay?"
"Sure sure, no problemo."
We didn't waste our time, we praticed after class hour so I came home late than the usual.
"I already researched your project, here." ate Rose handed me some papers.
"Thank you ate." I smiled widely and checked it.
At the age of 23 she already a secretary in a company here in Cebu, but she told us she wants to retire and try a new environment. She already applied in a bank and she's waiting for the call now. As soon as she'll be back in work, she'll file her retirement.
"Ate where's kuya Tony?" I asked as we started eating when I noticed the absence of my brother.
"He is in Marie's house. He'll be home tomorrow." Vinn's said, answering my question.
After eating, I voluntered to wash the dishes. I wiped my hand after and headed to the living room where my cousin and two brothers are.
I sit beside ate when I heard her cough.
