Chapter 32: Collapsing hopes

Mark's Pov

If only our motivation can last long, but I'm sure my team can finish what we started,  I thought to myself.  Anti still leads our way to Dark's office, this might be the most daring game I've ever played but I'm sure the others feel the same way. Not only we're risking our lives but if we don't do this, the whole world is at risk too.

My mind continue to drift away until we felt violent shaking

Jack: Dammit this again!

Felix: Everyone hold on!

I hurriedly held the sturdy lamp post that was fortunately just next to me and embraced it.  While the shaking continue, I had the chance to look around and was surprised. The building is.. Collapsing!

Mark: What is this!?

Anti: This might be caused by the host's unstable mind

As soon as he finished his reply the ground collapsed with us.  I can hear everyone's blood curdling screams as we fell from above, instead, I shut my eyes and braced the impact..

Dark's Pov

Dark: who dares.. To steal my staff!?

My staff who I treasured so much was gone from my desk..

Dark: FEAR!!

Fear: Y-yes Dark?

Dark: Are you the one who stole my staff!?

Fear: w-what..?

I held him by the neck and lift him in the air, he grunted a choked 'no' and squeezed my hand.. I threw him at the wall and he blacked out immediately, I sighed and shook my head.

?: looking for this~

I turned around and saw warfstache proudly waving my staff and his signature grin.

Dark: You! You stole my staff!

Wilford: I did and you have nothing to do about it! Hahahaha now that I have this!

Dark: No! Don't you even dare!

He forcefully took out the gem on top of my staff

Dark: Stop it!

But he didn't listen so I decided to run and stop him

Dark: I SAID STOP WILLIAM!!

I almost got him but with his new power, he threw me away with a mighty force with just a hand gesture. I hit the wall and almost broke my back, the impact was so bad I can't stand up. I struggled but failed to stand up.. I saw warfstache lift the gemless staff, I lift my hand and tried to stop him but failed miserably..  He snapped the staff in two and I felt something break inside me, I collapsed but my eyes was still half open.. I keep seeing warfstache with a victorious smile, the pain in my body became worst... Now that wilford has the gem, the host is powerless.. He's the one in control now, but there's still one thing I can do..

Mark's Pov

I opened my eyes, surprised by the fact that I wasn't dead. But I was more surprised by how I'm floating in thin air, I looked around and see I'm still in the asylum.. I looked down and saw my lifeless friends covered in debris , I panicked and tried to dive down towards them but realized that I was very high up compared to them.  I turned away and saw a figure in front of me, I squirmed but it held my shoulder firmly. I focused on the figure and saw Darkiplier, eyes on me..

Mark: what do you want...

Dark: The host isn't in control anymore, instead it's Wilford Warfstache..

Mark: Warfstache!?

Dark: Yes.. It seems your fans wanted him so much that it overpowered the host, now he's trapped him inside his own mind..

Mark: Inside the gem...

Dark: Wait how did you know?

Mark: Anti explained

Dark: Oh.. Well I just want you to know that he's more powerful than ever, he even managed to kill me-

Mark: Killed you!? So you're dead now..?

Dark: Yeah.. That's why I'm here, to give you this..

He handed me a heavy silver gun

Dark: It's the same gun that I tried to kill you with, 'cause that gun can pierce through anything.. It can even pierce through a God if all I know, but use it wisely.. Bullets are scarce for that one.

Mark: Why are you giving me this..?

Dark: There's no one else to give that gun, plus, I think you're the only one worthy..

Mark: Thanks.. But what about them?

I pointed towards the debris where my friends rests

Dark: Oh yeah about that, I saw this coming..

He raised his hand and threw away all the debris, and then resurrected them.

I looked back at Dark, hearing the shocked yells of Jack.

Dark: Goodluck to all of you..

He then lowered me to the ground to my friends, as I stepped on the ground they all tackled me and hugged me. We giggled.. Seeing Dark fading;

Dark's voice: You have a long way to go literally, let me help you with that..

All of us nodded, then Dark teleported us to a place probably near our destination, probably near warfstache.

Anti stayed quiet..

Anti: He actually helped us.. That's new

Mark: Surprising isn't it? He gave me this too

I took out the gun Dark gave me and showed it off

Felix: Oh wow!

Jack: Cool!

Anti: So now we're currently at the hallway near Dark's office..

I found a large window that attracted us, it emitted strange lights. We looked outside and saw parts of the building collapsing and falling to the ground.

Felix: Everything's collapsing

The clouds started to darken and the thick forests that surrounds us started to die of life, from trees decaying to birds falling from the sky.. It started to rain heavily, lightning strikes caused small forest fires.
Everything down there is a mess..

Everything is dying..
