"Hi."
That was the first word of their first meeting as long as they could remember.
Then, many years had passed and Brielle and Harry had exchanged loads of words with each other, even shared many memories as important as they could be as children.

Prince Harry never felt the comparison between himself and Brielle because of their classes. He knew she was the daughter of a mere servant of the palace. But that didn't stop him from being friends with her. He was brought up well by her mother. At least he thought so.

Brielle and Harry had so much in common yet they had many differences.

Brielle loved being with Harry. She loved how his smile will lighten up her day, she loved how his lips will turn up as he talked or smiled , how his dimples would make her want to poke them continuously. She adored the prince. From the moment they got to know each other.

Brielle and Harry , Harry and Brielle - as if they were becoming one soul as they grew up, not everyone noticed, but not everyone ignored.

Harry knew he felt something other than the pull of friendship around Brielle. Brielle knew that too. But they both were afraid. As if it were a sin.

Harry wanted nothing more than to touch Brielle's soft lips with his ones. He didn't know why he was feeling like this as they were becoming close more and more. He knew it was not right. But he couldn't help it.

Brielle knew everything she started to feel towards prince Harry was wrong. But she couldn't help it. Her 16 years old self couldn't tell him. She didn't have the courage to. She felt as if their friendship would have been ruined then.

Both started to realize what they were feeling but were afraid to commit to each other in fear of losing the wonderful friendship they had.

Christmas was slowly approaching. Everyone in the kingdom was in a festive mood. Why not? After all it was a great festival for the whole kingdom.

Prince Harry was excited. His 17 years old self couldn't hide the excitement about the gift he was going to give to his Brielle on Christmas.

Poor Brielle was worried. Prince Harry hadn't spoken to her for the past few days. He was hiding something. Because they both knew they couldn't keep still without talking with each other. Brielle was afraid she had done something wrong. On the top of that she didn't know what she would give to Prince Harry as Christmas gift. He had everything. She had nothing to give him. She was worried.

On the eve of Christmas, everyone rejoiced as they joined the royal ball the king held for the festival. Every people of the kingdom was invited.

Brielle's mother adorned her with a nice work of dress she managed to collect somehow. She was busy. The whole palace was busy. Brielle was left to adorn herself for the ceremony.

But one thing was on her mind , Prince Harry still hadn't talked to her.

A voice interrupted her chain of thoughts as she just finished getting ready. She saw Walker, the guard who was in duty of the Royal garden , who surprised her handing a small note and wishing a 'Merry Christmas. '

She smiled and did the same as he walked away.

She looked curiously at the cute little note in her hands as she folded it out carefully.

" Come and find me,
Girl in rose,
I will find your heart and
Fulfill it all,
Only love and friendship can keep us together ,
Which I yearn to say,
Please, find me , my princess,
In our secret place. "

A shy smile adorned Brielle's lips as she recognized the handwriting.

So Prince Harry was trying to surprise her?

She didn't like to giggle but she couldn't help it now.

She knew at what place she should be at that time.

Their escape place, the garden cave.

Prince Harry was anxious as to why Brielle was so late. Didn't she get the note? Or did she hate him for not talking to her ?

He ran his fingers through his brown locks as he looked at the falling snow outside.

Brielle ran as fast as she could for the cave. She couldn't wait to talk to him. For a moment the thought of him being angry with her made her shudder but she shook the thought. She wasn't going to ruin it.

Brielle reached the garden cave. But saw nobody. Her heart sank. Was Prince Harry playing a prank on her? Tears fought to drop as she looked around. It was eerily cold as the snow was falling.

Suddenly two hands were placed in front of her eyes. For a moment she was afraid. But then the familiar scent hit her nostrils. She smiled as she slowly touched his hands.

"Hi. "

Prince Harry's deep voice filled the sound as Brielle removed his hands slowly.

"Hi. "

Brielle and Harry remembered their first words of their first meeting.

They both looked at each other's eyes and smiled.

"Merry Christmas. "

They both said at the same time and laughed.

"I didn't know you were this poetic. Writing notes and all. "

She giggled.

"Only for you, Elle. "

He smiled largely, showing his dimples.

Suddenly his smile disappeared as he stared deeply in her eyes.

"You know......"

He whispered as he removed a lock of her hair slowly.

Brielle didn't say anything as she looked away from his deep emerald gaze.

"You look beautiful. "

Brielle looked at Harry over her eye lashes shyly as she smiled and blushed at the same time.

"Thank you, My Prince. You look rather dashing. "

Harry laughed as she blushed again.

"Can I give you my gift, Brielle?"

Harry stared at her deeply as he watched her intently.

She slowly nodded her head but with excitement.

Harry slowly leaned towards her, placing his warm hands on both of her cheeks.

He placed his thumb over her lips as he slowly leaned more. He didn't want to frighten her.

Brielle's heart raced rapidly as she realized what was going to happen.

Prince Harry was going to kiss her.

She felt as if she had been light headed.

Harry leaned towards her more as Brielle stood on her tippy toes.

Slowly their lips met.

Fireworks started to go on the sky as it was 12:01 AM and the ancient capital wall clock started to ring. Crickets started to call and the sound of fountain was heard.

So was the sound of beating heart of Brielle and Harry.

Harry kissed her slowly, softly.
Brielle felt as if she was on fire. She was frozen for a moment. But then she also responded.

Harry and Brielle both knew what they wanted from each other.

All they wanted for Christmas is for their love to come to reality. All they wanted was each other. All they wanted was love. All they wanted was friendship. All they wanted was to hold each other's hands forever.

Brielle and Harry both smiled through the kiss as they slowly embraced each other in their warmth of love.

Their differences didn't matter, nor did the rest of the world. Just their feelings for each other and the wonderful Christmas night mattered. To both of them.
