Chapter VII

"Woooooy! Ana! Ang ganda mo ah!" Blake said the moment she and Kelly came.

"Sus! Bola ka ha." She giggled and then nakipag-beso sa mga friends niya.

"Oh my gosh. It's been a long time guys!" Ana said while sitting down.

"Oo nga e, So, any updates about you guys? Ako, ito, maganda pa rin." Said Jessica at nagtawanan sila. They are 8 in the table, namely, Ana, Kelly, Russel, Blake, Jessica, Rico, Denise, Lara. They all have been friends since high school. Nagkwentuhan lang sila and then nag-update sa mga happenings. Ana, surely was having a good time with them. Kelly felt great, atleast nakikita niyang masaya si Ana.

"So, Ana, kamusta na nga pala kayo ni Ken?" Rico asked. The moment he asked that, their table suddenly became quiet. AWKWARD. Ana can't answer. Kelly noticed that so she diverted the attention.

"Ehem. Order tayo!" Kelly said excitingly. At lahat sila nakahinga nang maluwag. Russel touched Kelly's hand, sending the message that his girlfriend did a great job. Among the 8 of them, Ana, Kelly and Russel are the closest. Well, because Kelly and Russel have a relationship and they look at Ana like a sister.

Rico was clueless with the sudden awkward silence. Did he say anything wrong? Kauuwi lang kasi niya galing States the other week so wala siyang alam. "Ouch!" Exclaimed Rico

Pinanlakihan siya ng mata ni Lara and said "Never mention Ken to Ana." She said in a whisper

"Why? Asawa naman niya yon?" Rico was still clueless

"Basta. Things are not the way they used to be."

He got a clue there. They ordered food and drinks. Some vodka, beer and stuff.

Because of Rico's question, Ana felt distracted. Ano na nangyari sa no-thoughts-of-him. That's she kept drinking. She doesn't care if she gets drunk. She was tensed. They ate and drank and told each other stories.

On the other end of the bar, there was Ken and his friends. His friend and their girlfriends. Ugh. He's the only one alone. Nagkamustahan lang sila. And drank. That's what they're doing there. It's boys' night out and eerr, some girls.

Nagkakasiyahan sila nang maisipan nilang pagkatuwaan si Ken.

"So, Ken, how are you and Ana?" Arthur said.

"Really? You're asking me that question? You know very well the answer." It's true; he knows the answer to that.

"I mean, won't you get back to her? Come on dude! Talk to her." Arthur insisted.

"There will be no more talking. Besides, I bet she already has moved on. Damn it." Ken said and took another shot.

"Hellooooooooo! Everyone! So, is everybody having a good night?" Said the guy on the stage.

"So, we all know the tradition here, anybody can sing! Any volunteers???"

"Dude! Kumanta ka doon!" Harry said pushing Ken

"No. Ikaw na lang.' He doesn't want to sing. That will only remind him of Ana.

"Oo nga Dude! Dali na, let the girls here fall in love with you!" Sabi naman ni Richard.

"I'm not in the mood man." Sabi niya nang walang gana.

"Oh ayan! May tumayo na, naunahan ka tuloy!" Sabi naman ni Jake. Lumingon si Ken and saw a lady heading to the stage with long brown hair reaching her waist. Wearing a sleevless old rose dress reaching down her knees and a pair of gray doll shoes. Surely, she looked like she's pretty even if he's looking at her back, but he wasn't impress because she was too skinny.
