Chapter Ten

           

After that night on the porch, I couldn't help that someone presumably very dangerous, was closely watching me from afar and this time... I was so scared of that particular someone so I did the inevitable, I needed the brothers... The Green Brothers, Though Matthew and I doesn't get along sometimes and that Killian hated his brother about their past.

31st October 2009

Halloween, the day that everyone in this town has waited for, as the weather gets chillier and the nights grows darker in the evening, I become more paranoid, always wanting to be safe.

Both Holly and I hated Halloween, although we loved the annual parties just this year we weren't interested in partying, so we decided to spend the rest of the night in our home, just not Halloween in general, it just gives me the creeps.

I heard the TV in the background and presumably Holly is watching Supernatural (I know Dean's a total hottie!) while I was on my laptop, wanting to finish off the essay for Dash for when we get back to the university.

As I was typing up the last paragraph for the essay, I heard a quiet whooshing noise from the window and I saw... Killian looking frantic putting a finger to his lips, so that I wouldn't scream, and that Holly would barge into my room if I did that.

"Killian?" I got up from the bed and walk towards him, my expression puzzled. "What are you doing here? Are you okay?"

Killian shut the window and hugged me tight, in fact too tight that I forgot how to breathe, I playfully punched his chest to get me to breathe and he complied. "Oh sorry, I sometimes forget my strength" He pulled away and blushed a little, turning his head away from me.

I kissed his cheek in return "I couldn't help that you are afraid of something, are you really okay Killian? Is Matthew up to no good again, that asshole better not mess with me and my friends, I swear to God"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine... No actually I'm not fine, I just... really miss you and I wanted to know that you and Holly are safe". He breathed in relief.

I smiled at him. "I didn't know that you care so much about me and Holly, even though you haven't even met her yet, she's downstairs if you're asking but I rather not introduce you two for now as she might get suspicious" 

Killian laughed wholeheartedly and hugged me once again, his warm body against mine's, it was comforting and I could be safe in his arms "Of course that would be suspicious, I will meet her some other time in a formal way.

Hey why don't you do dinner and maybe I could invite my...brother as you wanted some peace with us"

I pondered with the thought that Killian has offered and I nodded "Actually that is a good idea, I will talk to Holly about it and we'll let you know when we're ready to host the dinner party. Hopefully everything would be okay with all of us"

After an hour of talking and discussing about the dinner, Killian left via the window so that Holly wouldn't suspect a thing.

After talking with Holly about the dinner and who would be the guests, surprisingly she agreed, as she was waiting to meet with Killian for months now and I'm not sure if she is keen with Matthew just yet.

In the next week, on a Friday, both Holly and I decided to invite the brothers over for dinner, hoping to make peace with both brothers and I could formally introduce Killian and Matthew to her, hoping that Matthew doesn't make any dangerous moves on her.

As I was preparing dinner and Holly setting the table, there was a knock on the door and I wiped my hands with a towel before going to open the door, greeting both brothers.

I took a glance at Killian, he was so handsome, his green eyes, twinkling in the night those same eyes are staring right to my brown ones and his hair was spiked.

His smile, those smile which could light up my world in a single heartbeat was aimed at me, and his suit was crisp black, holding a single bouquet of flowers "For you and you look beautiful" he smiled.

I gracefully took it and kissed his cheek blushing in the process, before turning to Matthew, he too was handsome but he is arrogant with that smirk in that face and staring right through me, I turned away from him and invited them in.

Holly was staring at Killian and Matthew, who stood awkwardly in the spot, she walked over and gently placed her hand in mid-air for a handshake "Hi Killian, I'm Holly, Lisa's best friend and Lisa told me a lot of things about you" She did the same for Matthew who held her hand... a little longer than expected and nodded "Nice to meet you Holly, I'm Matthew"

"Only good things I hope" Killian joked and we all laughed, except for Matthew, who was staring at Holly, I frowned.

During the dinner, both Killian and Holly got along with each other, sharing a hobby of binge watching Supernatural (I'm pretty sure that Killian doesn't watch Supernatural for the Winchesters) Matthew made no effort in having a conversation so I decided to end the silence.

"So Matthew, what do you do for a living?" Matthew looked at me and kept a straight face "Well I paint, I paint for a hobby because I love the art and the nature and I'm not very good at it but I sell them to make money to make a living" He slightly blushed.

I smiled, a genuine one "I love seeing art but I don't paint, I just feel that I don't need to paint but I also love nature, it's beautiful"

After a pleasant conversation, I pulled Killian away from the dining table while Matthew and Holly seems to be chatting happily and I fear for Holly, as I'm sure that Matthew could be using her for his advantages but I'm not certain if he feels any feelings towards her.

"Killian" I whispered "I'm scared, last week I felt that someone is coming for us and this person is dangerous, and I don't know what he or she is planning but I can feel something very bad is going to happen and I need you and Matthew to help me out"

"But this means that you have to tell Holly about us Lisa, I don't know what her reaction will be, but she will be betrayed and hurt, especially because you hid a big secret from her for me and Matthew"

"Tell me about what?" I gasped, when Holly is standing besides Matthew, stood there, fearing that she might have heard our conversation.
