Chapter Fourteen

After seeing Killian on my doorstep unexpectedly, I felt that he was hurt, it was shown on his body and his face, I couldn't help but care for him and asked where he and Matthew has disappeared, the answer is not what I had expected from him.

26th December 2009

I took a look at Killian, he looked worse than I last saw him last month and his eyes were bloodshot like he hadn't been feeding or sleeping in days, dark bags underneath his eyes.

His hair is unkempt and sticking up in weird places and his face looks pale, paler than a ghost.

He struggled to get the words out. "L-Lisa...." He closed his eyes and fell on the floor and I stood there in shock while Killian is convulsing on the floor. I gasped and comforted him while he convulsed while I was crying.

Matthew ran up to the apartment and saw Killian trembling on the floor. "Great, you're back too, where did you go alongside with Killian or did you go on a bloody rampage?" I seethed with anger.

"There's no time Lisa, get Killian on the bed now, I'll get some blood, he hasn't been eating in days." He glanced over his younger brother but looked away. He sped out of the apartment quickly, finding a blood bag of some hospital or something.

I looked over to Killian who was lying down on his back, he was so weak and he looks dead, breathing, but lifeless. I caressed his face gently and rested my hand over his'.

I mumbled quietly, not bothering if he will hear my confession or anything. "Oh Killian, I'm so sorry about the fight, I'm so sorry for everything and I feel that it's my fault that you're like this, I wasn't supposed to hurt you, I didn't want to, but you stood me up you know?"

"I actually thought that you liked me and I was excited about our not so first date as it was a double date but to me it felt that it was our first date, if Matthew or Holly didn't get involved, it would be just me and you, laughing, eating and holding hands."

"Killian, the last month has been hell for me, you left without a word and Holly left, I don't know when she'll come back, maybe never because she's pissed at me because I didn't tell her about you and Matthew. You have absolutely no idea how I felt over the last 30 days."

I let out a few tears which is flowing down on my cheeks and some of them has landed on Killian's hand.

"The point is that I wanted to say this, I thought I would never say this but over the last few days I have realised something, something that I never thought of before and I'm not sure that if you would feel the same way about me, as I can feel that you felt the same way that I do."

I closed my eyes and my heart was beating, fast for him, if he was awake, I wanted to confess my love for him as I was holding on for a long time since I've met him.

"I love you, I love you Killian, no wonder when I got so drunk, I kept on mumbling your name and dreaming of a perfect life together, getting married, having kids, watching our kids grow up but life is so complicated and that life wouldn't happen because of everything that is in our way is stopping that from happening."

As soon as I spoke about my love for him, Matthew stood there in the doorway of my bedroom, having quietly heard everything, I stared at him and his eyes, his eyes show a pang of hurt as he looked away from me and to his brother.

"Here, just give this to him and... he'll be fine", chucking a bag of blood and a syringe to me, "Just inject him with this and he should be fine in the morning. I should get going, I'm sure he won't be seeing me first as soon as he woke up" He joked and smiled down at me but quickly returned to his usual straight face.

I stopped him, grabbing his wrist and I looked into his eyes, his facial features softening.

"Thank you and I'm sorry about earlier, I was so worried about you both, you guys disappeared without explanation, what's really going on Matthew? Is it something that I've said?"

"I-I can't tell you, it's too dangerous, I'm really sorry but I have to go" He gently let go of my hand and left abruptly.

I did what Matthew instructed me to do, I injected Killian with human blood, as soon as I injected him, his skin once pale, turned back to its normal colour, the dark bags underneath his eyes have now gone and his lip has turned full.

I stroked his hair and laid besides him, my head resting on his chest, counting down the hours till he wakes up.

The next morning, I woke up and saw Killian still in deep sleep, I sighed sadly and went for a shower and when I came out, I saw something that is unexpected for me.

I smiled when I saw a teddy bear sitting there on my bed holding something that looks like a heart and says 'I Love You Too' in big red letters, but there were no signs of Killian on my bed.

'Maybe he woke up and left' I sighed sadly and went to open the door when something or rather someone caught my eye on the knob. I gasped happily.

It was Killian, standing on the floor near to the window, the sun reflecting his beauty and especially his eyes who were once dull and lifeless, were now glowing with emeralds and his smile is so wide that my heart skipped a beat seeing that beautiful smile that I once loved.

"Killian..." I gasped and put both hands on my mouth and laughed, "Is that you? Oh my god, it IS you right?" I walked slowly over to him and touched his face, he closed his eyes and relaxed.

I hugged him, his warm body soon enveloping with mine and he whispered "I heard everything you said last night baby, I heard everything and I do okay? I love you too, considering what that teddy bear said" We both chuckled happily.

"You know, I would die to kiss you now but I won't as we will have to go on our first date right? You always dreamt of us going on our first date, having our first kiss etc. But not now Lisa." He harden his facial features.

"I can't tell the reason why I left, but I can tell you is this, I want to protect you and Holly and I'm sorry that you lost your friendship with her but I know where she is right now and you probably will be upset that she lied to you but it wasn't intentional."

"Don't be scared as I say this but I swear to god, me and Matthew will do anything to protect you and Holly" He caressed my face gently.

"I know" I smiled. "So tell me what's really going on?"

"James is back" I look at him in confusion. "And he is back for good"
