'Twas a rhetorical question

Which I asked him so:

"What word rhymes with orange?"

"That is of what I don't know."

And later that day

The word that he may say

"Porridge rhymes with orange!

The solution makes me gay!"

I shuddered with anger

(as a grammatically correct would so)

"Porridge does not rhyme with orange!

this is an outrage-a blow!

There is no 'n' in 'porridge'!" I say

But he disregards it anyway

"It is no matter if syllables are alike

It only matters if, together, they sound right!"

I molded with anger

My face grew red

I thought,

"This man should be dead!"

So I took my blade,

Sharp it must be,

And I drove it into his temple

So a dark orange he may see!
