Chapter 4
I knew we weren't in much of a danger. I mean really the people at the Academy wouldn't just let me walk out with some stranger. We will be fine.
Then Lexie spoke up, "Where are we going?"
"You'll see. You'll see." He repeated. She looked nervous, but at the same time she looked a lot calmer than me. Honestly, I was freaking out.
And it only got worse.
Before I knew it, it was different. The sky was dark, if it was even the sky. Then suddenly my "dad" wasn't my dad. He was.....Hades. No way!
"Hades? You're my father?"
"Yes, son. And your mother is Aphrodite. I didn't even learn about you until recently. Aphrodite let it slip out to Hermes. And since he owed me, he thought I should know." He paused.
"But anyways, we need to get to work.". He seemed like he was in a rush.
"Work? For what", I said.
"You are going to learn from the best, of course!" He walked away, laughing. "Your rooms are that way," he said, pointing down a long dark hallway.
Chapter 5
My room was black and plain. It had a bed in one corner and a desk in the other. After looking around, I finally sat down on the bed. It was so dark and creepy down here. I kind of liked it.
After a while, Lexie knocked on the door. "Can I come in?"
"Yeah, sure." I replied. She came and sat next to me on the bed.
"What are we doing here?" She practically read my mind.
"That's a good question." I replied
"Well, how about we go find out." We both got up and left the room. As we walked out we bumped into the one and only.
"Where do you two think you're going?" He asked. Very loudly.
"Actually, to find you." Lexie was being a lot braver than I was. That was for sure.
"Why would you do such a foolish thing?"
"We want to know why the hell we are here!" Lexie was yelling. All I could do was stand there.
Hades was in Lexie's face. He was so close to both of us that I could smell his breath. It smelt strangely like death. "Watch your mouth, little girl, because you are in Hell." He turned and walked away. We followed close behind. "Calix, you must get ready."
"For what?" I asked nervously.
"Training. You're going to learn from the best."
Chapter 6
"First you must learn to fight the monsters. They will be bigger and a lot stronger than you."
I interrupted him, "What if I don't won't to learn how to fight any stupid monsters."
"You must learn! It will prepare you for bigger things!" He was yelling at me. He was good at yelling. I figure he does it a lot.
"Fine. Whatever you say, dad!" I put extra stress on that last word. He gave me dirty look but continued with his lessons.

After dinner, I went to see what Lexie was up to. I hadn't seen her since lunch.
See was in her room reading a book. Of course. As soon as I walked in there was a huge crash coming from the room I had been training in. We both ran out of the room and down the maze of hallways until we found it.
Chapter 7
There was a Cerberus. Hades famous three-headed dog. It was a lot scarier then I expected. The dog had gone crazy. Everything was in the training room was trashed. I quickly grabbed a sword from the floor. Lexie did too. I figured tat she never even picked up a sword, let alone actually use one to fight a three headed dog.
We advanced toward the dog. Can't they smell fear or something, or was that dinosaurs. Who cares. All I know is Cerberus did not look that happy. He snarled and growled at us. His teeth were huge. I was sure he could kill me now if he wanted to. One bite and I'd be dead, but I wasn't going down without a fight.
The whole fighting part was a blur. I swung my sword a couple times, probably missing each time. With each swing and miss, I started to doubt myself. But I wouldn't give up, I couldn't give up. Something inside of me was telling me to fight. I felt stronger.
Soon the sinister, three headed hell hound was dead. I'm not entirely sure how we killed, but we did. The dog lay there in a giant slip on the training room floor.
Chapter 8
"Did we just kill that thing?"Lexie asked with a shocking expression of achievement.
"It appears that way," Hades said as he walked into the room. "It has never been though possible to kill Cerberus. I guess you have proved the world wrong."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just that it was trying to kill me. And you know "kill or be killed". So I took the better option." There was still some shakiness in my voice.
"My boy, you have done well. Now you have proved to me what you can do; what you will do to get the job at hand done. And for that I congratulate you."
"Um, thanks," I said, looking back at Lexie who was rubbing a bruise on her arm.
"Because if this test I have given you-"
"Wait what? This was a stupid test? you planned this?" I was getting angry and I think he could tell.
"It had to done. With this task finished you will be able to do what needs to be done."
"What do I need to do?"
"You are going to overthrow Zeus."
Chapter 9
"I never agreed to any of this!"
"I know. I knew you wouldn't. That's why I had to hold the truth from you until the time came." He paused. "My dear boy, this has been your fate all along. You are my son. You have all the power you need to take down anybody. I don't know if you have realized it, but you are a god. Everything about you is super natural. Everything about you is great. You posses my strength, and your mother's cunning ability to persuade the smartest of men. If and when you learn how to use what you have been given you can achieve the greatest of tasks.

As I sit in my room, Lexie came in. "You know, you can't go through with this."
"Yeah, I know. But what am I supposed to do?"
She was quiet for a bit. "You could always...overthrow Hades instead."
"How exactly would I do that. He can probably read my mind or something."
"Maybe, but didn't you here what he said? Your strong. You can do whatever you want. The way he talked about your power I'm sure he knows that you are capable of hurting him just as much as you could hurt Zeus."
I looked at her. Her bright blue eyes looked so beautiful, even in the darkness of the underworld "You're crazy," I said. She smiled. I smiled.
"I know, that's what makes me so nice." she kissed my cheek and walked out.
I never really had a goal in life. It's like I've been wandering aimlessly, not knowing whether to turn right or left, to go up or down.
I guess she is what I have been looking for. She has been here this whole time. I don't know what I'd do without her.
