The next chapter, enjoy
I do also sincerely apoligize for not updating in almost two months, but they obstacles and inquiries of life struck in a rather abrupt and unapoligetic manner. I do plead for your acceptance :)
Chapter 3
I awoke the next morning. It was a Monday: shit. I’m fairly certain that almost every teenager hates Mondays. Mondays were from hell. Or maybe it was the loss of my best and dearest friend, Miles was getting to me.
Everything was annoying. I fucking hair was annoying, my voice was annoying, and the smell of breakfast was annoying. I got dressed, and put my phone along with some headphones into my dress pocket. Even though you aren’t supposed to carry your phone on your person.
When I came downstairs the stench of eggs and sausage flew into my nose. I wanted to vomit. "Good morning cupcake" my mother said, with a most Jokerish looking smile. I didn't reply. She was talking to me about something, but I wasn't listening.
About twenty grueling minutes later it was time to head to school for my third week now. I don't know what about it, but my mother driving me to school always made me fele better. It made me forget my life for a brief moment. The hum of her engine and the scenic sights from behind the window was my Zen.
I was actually smiling when I got to school. Then I met up with Julia. From the moment we first saw each other to out last, Julia had been complaining of headaches. I knew what it was from, and so did she. But both of us were willing and able to remain ignorant to the cause.
It was lunch. First, second, and third period were annoying too. I began to slip into the pit of irritation I found myself in this morning. Then I sat down next to my best bitches in the world. Curtis and Lias always sat next to each other on the other side, and Carrie sat next to them. Then, on the other side I was in the middle, and Julia and Lisa sat on either sides of me.
Every once and a while I'd see Matthew. I'd practically quiver in my seat every time he passed. There were always a group of his "bros" surrounding him. I didn't care, he is compensation. I saw him today, except he wasn't with any of his "bros". He was alone, but he wasn't standing still. He was walking- and I think he was walking towards me.
My eyes lit up like firework. "Julia!". I distracted her from her conversation with Lias. She was irritated at first, but her scowl turned to anticipation as she looked towards me. "Ooh, what Morgan." she said. "Omg Matthew is walking to me". She laughed. "Oh that dumbass from the party?", "yes, that dumbass is headed right for me". "Well bitch, don't die over it. He's probably coming over here to tell you how ugly your are." She started laughing. I punched her in the boob.
Matthew was damn close to approaching me. When he did, I could barely breathe. I could feel my cheeks redden with excitement. He leaned in towards the side of me and cupped his hands and whispered my ear, "meet me back here in like 20 minutes". He said. His voice was dead sexy, even at a whisper.
Then he left. Everyone at the table- except for Lias and Curtis because they were oh so engrossed in each other- wanted to know what he'd said that was so confidential that it couldn't be said aloud. I could feel eyes on me, my cheeks still thoroughly red. "He said to meet him here later" I said in a weak voice. I was weak.
All of them let out a long "oooh" and started making kissy faces. I blushed once more, but this time not from embarrassment.
