Forever and Ever [On Hold]

Chapter 8

There’s a huge throbbing in my head. I open my eyes and see I’m face down on the floor. I roll over onto my back and gasp as the pain consumes me. I stand up slowly and go to the bathroom. I drink as much water as I can from the tap. I lift my shirt and look at my back. The gash is all red and inflamed. I’m guessing that it’s pretty deep. Just looking at it makes me want to gag. Slowly I tear some fabric from my shirt and wet it with cold water. I then press the fabric to the wound and sigh, as the cool water relieves some of the pain.

~4 hours later~

I think Jenny must out because she hasn’t come and tortured me yet. I can hear the TV outside so I know that she’s left her men here to keep an eye on me. But an idea pops into my head. Those men must be exhausted. I’m sure they haven’t slept in ages. Slowly I pry open the door and peep out into the room. Sure enough both of the guards are asleep. I creep out, trying not to make a sound. When I get to the kitchen I grab as much small food as possible and put it in my pockets. What am I going to do? I can’t run away now because she’ll just find me again. This is when I notice the phone sitting on the table. I can ring the police! I quietly dial 000 and a lady answers me. ‘What’s your emergency?’ she asks. ‘I’m Georgia Carter. I’m a missing person. I’ve been kidnaped!’ I whisper yell. ‘Do you know your whereabouts?’ she asks. ‘Yes’ I reply. I give her the address and then she says ‘The police and an ambulance are on their way now. Try to stay calm’ she says before hanging up. This is when I notice the TV. ‘Sources have told us that police have the address of the house where Georgia Carter is being held hostage. They are on their way there now with all of One Direction’. I can’t help but smile. They’re coming! I try to make my way back to the room but when I open the door a very pissed off Jenny is standing in front of me. ‘Why were you out of your room?’ she asks evilly. ‘I needed a drink’ I say as calmly as possible, avoiding her eyes. ‘You’re lying to me’ she says. ‘No I’m not’ I say trying to get around her. She grabs my throat and slams me to the ground, pinning me down with her hands. ‘Don’t lie to me slut!’ she yells. ‘Fine!’ I say spitting at her face. ‘I rang the police! They’re on their way now. They’re close. I can hear the sirens!’ I yell. ‘Yes, they may be coming but I assure you, they won’t be taking you home alive. You’ll be in a body bag!’ she screams. With this she grabs me by the hair and pulls me up. I scream in agony. ‘Stop! Please!’ I yell. She doesn’t stop. Instead she drags me up a flight of stairs. I gasp when they cold wind hits my face. ‘Where are we?’ I ask panting. ‘The roof, I told you I wouldn’t let you live’ she says laughing. ‘No!’  I say as I realize what she’s going to do. ‘No!’ I scream trying to claw her face. She shuts me up by ramming her fist down my throat. I manage to get her hand out of my mouth and I can breathe again. That’s when I see them. 10 police cars are pulling into the yard, followed by a black van. The police get out with their guns pointed at Jenny . Then I see the boys and the girls. ‘Georgia!’ Zayn yells pushing his way through everyone.  He’s pulled back by Paul and I scream for him. ‘Zayn! I’m sorry!’ I yell. Jenny slaps my face and I scream. ‘Let her go!’ one of the officers says. ‘Or what? You’ll shoot me? I’m not afraid to die. I just want her to!’ she yells back. She turns me around so that she’s got her gun pointed at my head and so that I’m facing everyone. This is it. This is the end. I push her away from me and she loses her balance. I hear the gun shot and I know that I’m going to die even before I feel the bullet entering my body. Jenny slips and falls off the side of the building. She hits the ground with a loud thud. ‘Georgia!’ Zayn screams. I fall to the floor clutching my side. I lift my hand and see the blood all over it. ‘I love you Zayn’ I say before I roll off the side of the roof. Just before I pass out I can hear Zayn scream my name.
