Chapter 3 - The Raven

I eat some food then head into the woman's bathroom. I was washing my hands, my brain ticking with thoughts. I had to ditch Elijah and he wasn't going to be happy about it. I spot a window in the disable loo at the end. I stare at the window and then down at myself
"Yep I'll fit" I say to myself. I close the disable loo door and open the window. I stand on the loo and slide out of the window. I take out a cap from my bag and a pair of sun glasses. I then run down the street, I didn't bother looking behind me it would only slow me down. I reach my destination, an old apartment building. The majority of the people living there were junkies. I run upstairs to the third floor and I head to the door that read 29 on the front and start knocking on the door.
"You're late" the man opens the door and says. He didn't even stay by the door, he just opened the door and walked back to his desk.
"Sorry tommy. I got a new body guard" I tell him as I go into his apartment and close the door behind me.
"Is he hot?" Tommy asks raising his eyebrow.
"He's alright I guess" shrugging my shoulders.
"I'll pour you a drink, you get dressed" Tommy says heading to the kitchen while I head to his bedroom to change. I pull on my black cat suit and a pair of socks. Next I take out my knee high boots and slip those on. I grab my bag and my cloak and head back out to Tommy.
"Here" He says sliding my drink across the counter. I catch it and down it in one.
"Thanks" I say and I finish up getting dressed. I slide on a watch, gear earring, black fingerless leather gloves, a raven mask, and my jet black shirt hair wig. I strap on some throwing knives and a dagger then throw in my cloak. Tommy throws me my bow and arrows and he sits at his desk. I stand behind him and he passes me a small ear piece. His desk consisted of a variety of computers. He was the man in my ear, the one to tell me where to go and keep me safe from 'bad guys'
"Anything happening out there?" I ask
"Yes robbery go now" He says and I slip out the fire escape.
"Where am I going Tommy?" I ask. It was a two way ear piece, I could hear him he could hear me. I had buckles on my shoes that were trackers so Tommy knew where I was,
"Turn left now" He says "so what's this new bodyguards name?" Tommy asks me
"Elijah Edwards" I tell him smirking.
"Sounds sexy. What does he look like?" Tommy asks
"Tall, short hair, green eyes" I summarise.
"Turn right" Tommy says "there in front"
"I see it" I say running into the bank. There were hostages and three gun men. I whistle as loudly as I could and everyone turns to look at me.
"It's The Raven" I hear someone whisper making me smirk.
"Get down bitch" one gun man says. I pull the bow off my back and grab an arrow. I done it quickly so the gunman didn't have time to shoot me. I send an arrow flying through the air, puncturing his thigh, the arrow went all the way through his leg and got stuck. I send another arrow toward another gun man, this one went through his shoulder. The last one caught on and starts shooting at me. I run following the back wall. The gun man also started running; towards me. He had one bullet left, he fires it out the gun and it flys past my hip. I flinch and let out a groan from the pain of it splitting open my skin. I jump and throw my leg up kicking him hard in the jaw. I punch him across the nose then take out my dagger and and stab him in my stomach.
"Someone call 911" I say. Tommy made me a voice disguiser, that I used whenever I was The Raven. All I had to do was push a button on my watch that admitted rays that made my voice sound different to the human ear, not only did it work in person but over the phone as well. I tie the three men up and help anyone that needed help. The security guard had been shot.
"It's a through and through. You should be ok just keep pressure on it" I tell the woman sat with the guard. She nods and thanks me then I slip out before the police arrived. Even though I helped people and didn't kill anyone unless I had no other choice, the police still wanted me. However it's not to arrest me but to recruit me and have me work for them.
"That went well" I say to Tommy, turning the disguiser off.
"Very well. Now turn left at the end of the road. There's an on going mugging if you don't hurry..." Tommy begins
"Yeah I no. He will get away and the victim will probably die" I say running towards the mugging. I get there just in time to see the guy kicking some poor kid on the floor.
"Hey" I say clicking on my disguiser. I throw him against the alleyway wall. Kick him in the groin and punch him across the jaw. The mugger drops the kids bag and runs away.
"You okay?" I ask the kid helping him up and handing him his bag.
"I'm fine. Thank you" He says brushing off the dust from his jeans and putting his bag back on his back.
"Where do you live? I'll walk you home" I offer
"Two blocks away" the kid tells me and we set off.
"Why are you walking alone at night?" I ask him
"I missed the bus." He tells me. He gets home safely and I leave him to go inside. He says thank you again and I leave.
"You're such a saint" Tommy says in my ear
"Oh shut up" I say rolling my eyes.
"It's almost 1 you should come back" Tommy says. I look down at my watch and sigh then I head back to Tommy's.
"Shit jade" Tommy says moving his hand down to my bleeding hip.
"Oh yeah I was shot" I say calmly. When I told Elijah and my mother that I could protect myself I meant it.
"I meant my suit" he says and I roll my eyes
"Just patch me up" I say sitting down. Tommy stitches up my wound. "Thanks" I say.
"That's another one I have to throw out" Tommy says annoyed
"You make 3 at a time. I have others in the wardrobe" I say. I get dressed out of my Raven outfit.
"Cheers to another successful night" I say downing my drink that Tommy poured for me.
"Now go home" Tommy says ushering me out the door.
