Chapter 1 : Who is she?
Phillip Lance Gladebrooks. A upper middle class young gent. With his dark ebony hair with slight curls at the bangs, eyes with emerald green essence that struck an impression to those that gaze upon him and a pale slightly freckle complexion upon his well sculpted appearance. He is well built and slender and his dashing good looks have gained him much attention from the girls at Chenery Female Boarding School across the street. He is often seen with sleek and casual attires while playing with his golden retriever at the front garden of his house.
Since the age of 14, he moved to this house with his wealthy parents. Now at 19 years of age, he works as a part time artist alongside his mentor and friend whom he calls Derrick. Derrick is a fashionable gent of 23 years old. His appearance is ambiguous as some might like him and some might not, a white thick framed glasses wore across his face and a dip-dyed ocean blue bangs compliments his strawberry blond hair that is thin and spiked. Two piercings on his ears and multiple tattoos on his body makes him to be thought as a " bad boy ". Despite his appearance, he is actually quite chivalrous and kind towards other with a sort of "cool" and layback attitude most of the time as well as mysterious.
The two lad's friendship is a product of time, though they don't speak much but like ivy, they are grown so intertwined and complex. When the summer heat-wave approaches, they will be found sketching the beauty of nature by the lake at the park nearby .
One fine morning as the dawn barely begins, Phillip notices a pink letter by his porch. It was an invitation to Chenery's gala night by an anonymous, judging from the nicely written words and elegant design, it was a girl who wrote and sent it.
The letter wrote :
To Phillip,
Though you may not know me, I hereby invite you to attend the gala night at Chenery with me tomorrow.
Although it's kinda weird but I have been observing you for a while now, you might notice me walk by your house or hanging out at the park sometimes but I've never had the courage to talk to you.
The white roses will be the sign.
Hope to see you there ;)
Once a year, Chenery will host a gala night where all of the students will perform in the school's theatre. There will be dancing, acting and drama performances, everyone in town will be there except for the two gents for they are not quite interested or amused by the performances. He was quite skeptical and confused at the invitation for he did not know any of the girls at Chenery. Despite that, curiosity got the best of him and decided to attend the gala and to find that mysterious girl.
He dressed himself in his tuxedo and made his hair though not knowing what to expect and left his house for Chenery. At first glance when he first walked into Chenery's theatre, he was stunned in amazement. It was a fairly large venue with elaborate decorations and professional designs, red carpets paved through the floor and the golden lights above was glimmering like stars. The stage however, was the center piece of the whole theatre with layers of red velvet curtains drapes from above, it blends the whole theatre together and it was glamorous. He took a seat at the center and waited for the show to begin. Forgetting everything about the girl.
The show begins as the curtains was raised above the stage and girls start dancing on the stage with jolly music of springtime. He watched in awe as the performances went on one after another. One of the act caught his attention and reminded him of the sign that the girl told him about, the white rose. It begins with a girl dressed in a long white dress with long slightly curled apricot brown hair and a nice sculpted body of a goddess , she danced gracefully across a meadow of flowers and picked up a single white rose and continued to dance with the rose in her hand. It was the most beautiful thing he had saw, it was like angels surrounding her when she danced that words cannot describe his feelings. His immediate thought was that the girl that sent him the invitation was the girl that was on stage.
