Wish

I glanced at the beautiful man across the table. He took a bite of the amazing pasta he ordered and enjoyed it with his eyes closed. He looked stunning tonight. More stunning than ever, if that's even possible.

"Mitchy, you should eat some more. I can order something else for you if you'd like.", Scott said with concern.

"I'll eat, Scotty. I was just admiring the view.", I said and continued eating my spaghetti.

"It's breathtaking indeed.", he said smiling at me. "The stars shine so bright tonight."

We ate our food, while chatting and laughing. Being with Scott felt so right. It felt just like breathing. Normal. Natural. Easy.

He searched for something under the table and after a while, he revealed a bottle of champagne and two glasses.
He filled them and offered one to me.

"Let's make a toast!", I said.

"Okay. What shall we drink to?", he asked.

"To Venice.", I suggested
We raised our glasses.

"To us.", Scott said and we both blushed.

After a while, Scott got up and took my hand, dragging me with him. He sat on the wooden surface of the gondola and I sat next to him. We both leaned backwards at the same time, until we were laying flat on the floor, facing the stars.

"Look at the stars, Scotty! I've never seen them so clearly before!", I said with excitement.

"I don't need to look at the stars, Mitch. Your eyes are full of them.", he whispered and got my hand in his.

"You're being sappy. But thank you.", I replied and we both laughed.

"Mitchy, a star is falling! We should make a wish!", Scott told me.

"Okay." I closed my eyes tightly and wished for the only thing my heart desired for so long.

"What did you wish for?", he asked me with his gentle voice.

"I can't tell you.", I said.

"Come on, I'll tell you too.", he teased me.

"I'm not telling!", I pouted.

"Then neither am I.", he said with a smirk. That idiot! He's just trying to trick me into telling.

It started getting cold after a while. I started shaking a little bit and Scott pulled me closer to warm me up. I turned to look at him, only to find his face only centimetres away from mine.

"Mitchy...I have a surprise for you.", he said.

"What is it?", I asked. What else has he planned?!

"Close your eyes. And no peeking!", he said and I felt him getting away from me, walking to the orther side of the gondola and then back to me.

"Don't open your eyes until I say so.", he warned me.

"Okay, Mr. Mysterious.", I joked.

"Are you ready?", he asked. I nodded.

I felt his warm lips gently touching mine. It was just a peck, but I felt like the whole world lighted up a million times more. He didn't pull away. He was waiting for my concent.

I placed my hand on the back of his neck, pulling him closer to me, connecting our lips once again. This time his lips started moving against mine. The kiss was so gentle, yet so powerful. It felt like we were both trying to show our feelings through this kiss. His fingers brushed against my cheekbones, my hair, my back...

We slowly pulled away and we opened out eyes at the same time.

"That was the most beautiful moment of my life.", Scott whispered with a smile.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment.", I said with tears in my eyes.

"Trust me, I do.", he said and I giggled.

"I love your laugh. And I love it even more when I'm the cause of it."

"Scott, stooooop! You're making me blush!", I said.

"It's okay, I love your blush. In fact, I love everything about you.", he said amd looked down.

"Scotty, what-"

"I thing I'm in love with you, Mitchy."

I pulled him in a tight hug. I can't believe my wish came true!

"I'm in love with you too, Scotty." I pecked his cheek.

"Well, in this case...Mitch Grassi, will you be my boyfriend? Will you let me be the reason of your smile every day from now on? Will you let me be by your side to protect you, to keep you warm, to buy you presents, to make you happy? I want to call you mine and I want you to call me yours. Please, be my boyfriend."

"Yes, Scotty, of course! I thought you'd never ask!", I said and he pulled me in for another electrifying kiss.

I can't believe my wish came true.
