Beep. Beep. The alarm roared in my ears. Not again! I had a dream, a strange dream; for 7 years I've been having the same dream. Who's that person that wants my help? Could it be... Knock. Knock. The door creaked as it opens, a 33 year-old-middle aged man comes in with a serious face, he was wearing a black leather jacket overlapping his "NEVER GIVE UP" grey shirt. He is furious, you can just envision his annoyance. Too easy to read.
"Hey, you punk! Still not awake yet?" He barked like a fox stomping towards me. Like I expected he's too easy to read, now he will pull my blanket. "It's already 8:00am!! Wake up" he claimed pulling my blanket away from me. Too predictable, Mr Kim.
"Sunbae* let me sleep more! You know I hate it when I can't get enough sleep!" I moaned like a average, normal teenage boy would. But i'm not average, i'm a celebrity- not just like other celebrities- i'm different because i'm not normal. Lai Kuan Lin that's what the world knows me as. To them i'm an idol, who is passionate about rapping, dancing and music. I'm a passionate swaggy rapper who wants a successful career in Kpop industry but just to them - I seem passionate. I was suppose to look passionate with dreams to succeed - like an average 17-year-old boy. However, for me success is something else, it's something dangerous. It's a menacing game - a game where any young adolescents like me would shiver in fear. Even I did, but it was before I was about to begin - I was about to give up because it's was imperil, I was afraid of getting destroyed. But something inside me motivated me; the death of my parents flashed back, it reminded me to show no dread or indulgence towards my enemy. It encouraged me to play that dangerous game, where I cannot turn back. Not anymore because i've already started it!
"Get Up Right Now! Today's the most important day of your life! You'll either succeed or ruin it for yourself" snapped Mr Kim furiously, looking at me with a worried face.
"I know, I know! How can I forget!? Today's the day i've been waiting for soo long... to seek justice for my parents, who died so unfairly."
So unfairly, so brutally, they died but noone cared. 'Car accident' - that's what the court said; apparently it was all an accident! But I know the real truth! It wasn't an accident! They were murdered!
My parents once told me, "even though the whole world turn against you, the law will always be with you and if your innocent the law will give you justice but if your guilty the law will give you punishment". Lie! I was told a lie because they were wrong and I was right, "Even though your innocent the law wouldn't do anything instead they will blame you for making mistakes but if your guilty they will stay still and wait for evidence". At the end, I was right, but deep inside me, I didn't wanted to be right because I want my parent's murderer to receive what he deserved - lifelong prison.
My parents were prosecutors, who used to arrests criminals. Who helped the victims to find there justice. But when they needed help, noone was with them. Everyone turned their backs and showed their true nature , "they are already dead anyway so why do you want justice? Their is no justice for the deads" that's what I was told. I disagree! They might be dead for everyone but not for me; for me they are still alive in my heart and always will be. Therefore, I will bring justice to my mom and dad! Even though there isn't any justice for 'deads' right now, I will create it one day! I will make the murderer suffer until his last breath!
"Were you predicting my actions?" Mr Kim asked with full of curiosity.
"Yeah! And you're too predictable!"
"Ah! And who is the person who taught you this skill?" He smirked.
"Sunbaenim* did and i'm really thankful for convincing me that day"
"I convinced you!? When?"
"Sunbae, don't pretend you don't know! 7 years ago, you convinced me to fight for my parent's justice and to seek revenge for their murderer. Sunbae you.."
"I didn't convinced you, it was your choice to seek revenge for your parents. I just guided you and taught you the skills you needed to defeat Bultz Gang"
"You always say that! And I know it's more than that, why did you helped me that day? Why did you gave me shelter when our house got taken away? Why did you took care of me when the world rejected me? I have soo many questions for you, but I know your not going to answer"
"If you already know, why do you even bother asking? Anyways, get ready! We're already 10 minutes late because of you!" He scold and left the room with a loud bang!
Sunbae is the only person I have, who cares about me and loves me. After my parent's death, I cried. I cried and cried and cried. At that time, I was dying inside - I hated myself because I was irritated and annoyed that I couldn't save my parents. Even after their death, I still couldn't do anything, I was hopeless and forlorn. Just then a light shined in my darkest day, I thought I could never get out the murkiness yet I did because of Mr Kim. He came like an angle and grabbed me by my hand and took me out from the hell. Sunbae I really respect you!

This is my first Mystery/Thriller fanfic. I feel like I overdo it when It comes to romance🙈🙉🙊 since I make it really, REALLY CLINGY n cheesy! Maybe romance is just not my style! (Got embarrassed after reading Unidentified love: Lai Kuan Lin after few months - still shocked that people ACTUALLY read it and EVEN voted for the chapters!! Thank You so much!) I wanted to write a fanfic which would be different from the others (basically stand out from the crowd) and is interesting to read (obviously there are other fanfics that are interesting to read even I read them cuz they are just awesome writers and are creative).
So, I felt like thriller would be the best choice to highten the dramaaahh!!! I actually got inspired by K-dramas especially "While you were sleeping" - Lee Jong Suk & Bae Suzy!! and "Remember: War of the Son" - Yoo Seung Ho & Park Min Young. As well as C-drama especially "Love me if you Dare" - Wallace Hou & Sichun Ma (even if u don't watch Chinese drama watch this!!!!💖)
I hope this story will be better than before!! Well, at least I tried..😐
