Illumi was content. Everything was falling perfectly into place. And slowly the bright image of a bright future began to unfold in his mind. Though, his fortune was shortlived. As he walked away from the Hano estate, a voice could be heard shouting in the background from behind him. Illumi did not have to hear what the person was saying to know that something had gone horribly wrong. Every fiber in his body began to swell with dread as his happiness quickly slipped out of his grasp once more. As the voice became louder and louder Illumi began to recognize who was chasing after him.

"Illumii!!" the disembodied voice yelled out. Illumi turned around and came face to face with the pink haired boy that he had spoken to less than an hour ago. William halted in his steps and stared up at Illumi with wide eyes.

"Mia's in trouble." his voice rung through the air.

Illumi narrowed his eyes toward the younger male. He was not sure if he could trust the Hano family yet and he had to stay alert at all times.

"Papa just got a call from one of our butlers saying that they spotted Takeo heading for Sibitzu Island." his voice was penetrating as his words sunk into Illumi's head.

Mia. Danger. Mamoru. Takeo.

"I'm going," Illumi stated angrily and turned back around.

"Noo!! Wait, I wanna help!" William exclaimed and ran towards Illumi.

Illumi shot the boy a look, "If you really want to help then make sure that your father isn't deceiving me and send the butlers to help." he ordered impatiently.

"Papa isn't deceiving you!" William shouted after him.

Illumi continued making his way to the airship that he had landed a few yards away. He ignored

"You can use the family's airship... it's faster." William offered quickly.

Illumi stopped walking.

"W-What are you doing, Mamoru?" Mia stuttered as she braced the wall behind her for support. Her weakening legs were having a hard time supporting her.

"Ooh nothing, just thought we should have a chat now that Illumi is gone." He hummed calmly, not moving from his resting position against the hallway wall.

Mia remained silent. He just wanted to talk? She knew that there had to be more to it than just talking.

"Are you mad at me?" Mia asked carefully, thinking back to the argument they had the night before.

Mamoru chuckled deeply, "Why would I be mad at you?" his honeyed voice was thick with sarcasm. He was very angry with her but not for the reasons that she thought. Years of jealousy began to creep up on him and he slowly was regaining his old ways of thinking. His murderous intents began to form once again.

Mia watched her older brother who pushed off against the wall and began making his way towards her. She stood frozen just watching. Fear began to bloom inside of her and her small frail body began to shake.

"M-Mamoru what are you doing?" her voice tremored lightly.

Mamoru's grin only grew as he pulled out one of his hands from behind his back, holding a knife, "Finishing what I started before Papa stopped me," he said in a matter-of-fact tone.

As if on cue, Mia's body unfroze and she swiftly turned around and darted back into the bedroom that she came from. Her shaky legs began to fold and weaken as soon as she reached the bathroom that was attached to the bedroom and she toppled onto the cold tiled floor.

From behind her the sound of footsteps running after her could be heard and she quickly scrambled to her feet and shut the bathroom door before turning the lock.

Mia sat on the bathroom floor trembling. She had her arms wrapped tightly around her curled legs and pressed them tightly to her chest. She could not bring herself to move from this position.

She cursed at herself for being so afraid and childish. She used to be stronger but somehow not only her physical strength was being ripped away from her very being but her mental strength as well. It is as if her entire self is slowly yet surely being ripped out of her.

At this moment, a part of her wanted to be strong and confront her brother once more but this time without running away. Another part of her shuddered at the very thought and chose to obey Illumi's orders and stay away from her older brother, Mamoru.

As Mia contemplated, a ringing could be heard from outside of the bathroom, in the bedroom. At first, Mia did not recognize the sound but it quickly clicked together and she realized that it was her cell phone and that someone was calling her.

She slowly unfolded her legs and braced herself against the bathroom sink for support as she attempted to stand up. But to no avail, her legs gave out and she plummeted back down onto the floor. Being in the state of paralyzation, Mia was unable to reach her hands out to avoid slamming against the floor. With a loud thud, her head banged against the tiled floor.

Both the ringing of her telephone and the sound of cries seemed to echo in her head as waves of dizziness washed over her as her vision blurred with tears.

She fell unconscious.
