Chapter Two:

We leave our room and make our way to the Beta Kappa house. It’s dark outside and the stars illuminate the night. There's a humming in the summer air.  We approach the fraternity house. People loiter on the grass and porch. Liam leads me into the house. The lighting is a fluorescent purple and its foggy. Everywhere I turn people are dancing and grinding. Some song I know I’ve heard but can’t place is blaring loudly. I spot a familiar mop of curly brown hair. The guy is tall and lean. He’s dressed in all black. I can’t see his face. Abruptly he jerks his whole body around and looks me dead in the eyes. The people laughing, the music, all the chaos just fades into the background. Like he and I are the only people in the world. For a moment the only thing I see is green. His eyes were captivating like a sparkling  kaleidoscope of emerald green and gold.It was like he was peering  into my soul, seeing the real me. I tore away from his gaze. I scan further down his face. His lush, plump pink lips were pierced by a metal lip ring. He had a collection of tattoos on his ivory arms. I didn’t know who he was. All I really knew was that something about him was special. I look back at his face. His lips quirk up into a smirk.

Someone pulls me out of my trance. It’s Liam.

“Niall were you listening?”

“No, I’m sorry Liam. What were you saying?”

“Nevermind. I see you’ve caught Harry Styles attention.” He points out.

“That’s his name. Harry. Har-ee.”I say his name, rolling it off my tongue.

“Yeah he’s a sophomore. I would stay away from him though, he and his friends Louis and Zayn are nothing but trouble.” Liam warns.

“Hey Niall, I’m going to go meet up with my girlfriend.”

“Alright Liam.”

I’m hesitant to let him go.He’s the only person here I know. I make my way into the kitchen to get something to drink. On the dining table sits a plethora of alcohol. Clear, pink, blue you name it, they got it.There’s abandoned red solo cups scattering the surface. I don’t know what is what. Mum and Dad never let me go to parties in high school.

“Is this your first time?” A husky voice questions.I turn to my left and almost gasp. Harry Styles is standing next to me. “Y-Yeah” I managed to stutter out. He hands me a bud light. Our fingertips brush. His hands are incredibly cold. I twist off the cap and take a sip. My face scrunches up in disgust. I almost spit the poison out. It tastes rotten. Harry laughs and it’s the most melodic sound I’ve ever heard. He leans in close to me his lips grazing the shell of my ear, “You're so cute, babe.” I can feel my  cheeks warm with a blush and my eyes widen in surprise. Harry smells so good like sandalwood and cinnamon, warm and safe. While I try to recover from Harry’s close proximity he snakes an arm around my waist and drags me toward a couch where his friends are hanging. He plops down on the only open seat on the couch. I move to sit on the ground but he yanks me into his lap. I can feel his member pressing on my thigh. I look around at his friends. They all have tattoos or piercings of some sort.

I glance back at Harry. “What’s your name?” He asks. “N-Niall.” God why do I keep stuttering it’s so embarrising. “Cute.I’m Harry.” His husky voice replys.

“Yeah I know.” Wait why did I say that, he’s gonna think I’m a stalker. He just laughs again. One of his friends pulls out a little baggie with circular purple pills. He hands two too Harry. He puts one in his mouth and offers me the other one. I’ve never done drugs, what if I die or become a druggie? “Relax, live a little. It’ll make you feel good. I promise.” Harry soothes. I hesitantly reach for the little purple pill. Harry nods his head reassuringly. I place it on my tongue and swallow it. “Harry, nothing’s happening.”He smiles before answering, “Give it a minute.”

A few songs later and I feel good all over.It was like a paradise outside the physical world of space and time, looking at the universe in front of me while the sunrise shines through the trees and the warm air gently brushes against my skin as I lay calmly on the ground relaxed with a smile on my face and not a single worry in the world. With a sudden impulse I ask Harry if he wants to dance. I’m talking extra loud. He agrees and we make our way into the crowd. I sway my hips and grind against Harry. His hands grip my hips.

I’m pressed against his hard chest. “Your good dancer babe.” “Thanks” I shout.

Harry and I continue to dance till we both tire. He walks me back to my dorm. When we reach my door. He press me back against the wall. I can feel my knees going weak. “I look forward to seeing you again, kitten.” He strides away as I get it together and go inside.
