Olive's POV:

Life is meaningless. Don't bother giving me the whole pep talk of life being 'beautiful' and 'i don't need to do this' I don't know what sunshine meadow you're living in cause the world I live in pretty shit. I'm stuck in the same cycle over and over and I will be stuck in this cycle till the day I die. The winds that whips between my hair spurs on my leap of faith, the rushing river brings calm to my ears. One step and it's over with, one step and I'm free from this mundane life. One step is all it takes. Funny isn't it, how just a small and simple act can determine your entire life. It's the small things that make life sweet. I guess nothing small has ever happened to me, all I get is shit ton of bad luck each time I open my eyes. The sound of the rushing water almost entices me. Behind me passerby's seem to have noticed my presence. It's now or never.

My blood pulses. Wind rushes. Up above, sounds of screamers. I on the other hand felt free, as my body flew downwards every muscle relaxed. I almost felt calm.

Then my body landed with a crash.

I let my form sink like a rock as the current flowed over me. It threw me back and fourth again and again. I did nothing. I felt myself naturally floating to the surface but I let water enter my lungs and weigh me down. My head hit a rock and it all went black.

Beep...beep...beep! It's all I've heard for the last five minutes! "Someone turn annoying noise off. I'm trying to sleep" I muttered "unfortunately I can't, that annoying noise is making sure you're alive" A voice laughed, a voice belonging to the only person who apparently cares about me. Dr Faliceir. I sat up an looked at him with a playful smirk dancing on my face, "what's the stats doc" I was only met with a disappointed frown "you're lucky to be alive! You suffered several traumas to several parts of you body! If it wasn't for your enhancement you would be dead but it luckily healed you quickly and you survived!" I sung my hand across and clicked my fingers "darn it! I so close this time" my tone implied I was being sarcastic. The doc didn't find it funny, "this is the second time this week you've done something like this! I want you to understand you can't keep doing this to yourself. Eventually your body will just give up and slowly shut down your internal organs-" "LET IT HAPPEN THEN! Why can't you understand I want to die! Why can't you understand that I hate everything about myself and my life!" Tears streamed down my face but I hastily brushed them away.

No one is allowed to see me cry. Dr Faliceir took of his glasses and rubbed his eyes "Olive" he sighed, " I understand how you feel-" "No you don't! You're only saying that to make me feel better! That I'm 'not alone' Stop it! ITS NOT GOING TO WORK!" I threw the covers off and yanked out the various machines I was wired up to. Sitting of the locker by my bed was my clothes. I pulled my jeans on under the hospital gown and shoved my jacket on over the top and zipped it up tight.

Doctors and nurses flew expecting something terrible has happened to me but instead we're met with a moody fifteen year old preparing to leave. A nurse grabbed my arm as I pushed past her "miss I'm gonna have ask you to sit back down and relax" " and I'm gonna have ask you to let go"

Dr Faliceir stepped forward, "don't worry I give her the permission to leave. I know her address, I'll escort her home" the nurse released me and stepped aside hesitant. With boots in hand, I changed out of the room with Dr Faliceir hurrying along behind me.

After twisting myself round corners and staircases, I made it down to the car park where I stopped at the doors to let the doctor catch up. He held my arm carefully and lead me towards his car and unlocked it. I grabbed the door and opened it with such force I almost pulled it off it's hinges, Dr Faliceir sighed "do you mind?" I gave a sarcastic smile, sat in the car and slammed the door shut.
