*Tobin's POV- time jump back a little bit*

As the door slid open to reveal the head medic I was given a golden opportunity to check out the gorgeous girl that had been helping me.

Although I felt like an idiot for throwing up on her, she handled it really well and seemed soothing rather than annoyed. So I guess she was one of the better medics for that reason. But also that face. Oh man. I could stare at it for hours.

Her milky brown hair was put up high out of her face in a pony tail but I could tell she had straightened it from the frizzy little curls in front of her ears from the rain earlier. I wanted to reach out and tuck them behind her ears but I knew that'd be too far.

She hadn't done anything so far to indicate that she was even remotely interested. I needed to be patient. And for some strange reason I was almost certain that this girl was going to be worth it.

I was broken from my daze when her conversation finished and she turned back to me. Caught a little off guard by her question I responded without thinking "Ah, you were about to tell me about yourself." What?! What the HELL was that! Shit. Cover it up.

"I. Ahh. What? Haha I don't think thats what I was going to to" she replied with, almost looking embarrassed. Was she blushing? Was she, like, INTO me?

"Haha well I don't even know your name"
"I don't know yours!"
"Well I asked first"
"I'm meant to be treating you, so I'll have to do a report later. So you kinda don't have any excuses to not tell me now." That was a fair point. Okay, Tobin. Be smart about this. Introduce yourself as cool and calm as you can. "Fine, fine. The names Tobin. Tobin Heath." Yep. Nailed it.

When she grabbed my hand though I'm pretty sure the whole world stopped spinning. I could hear my heartbeat thudding in my ears and my breath got caught in my throat. I hope to god she didn't realise she was making me feel like this.

As she went to let go of my hand I held on for a second too long. She noticed when a small sign slipped out. Shit.

I quickly changed the topic to avoid any awkwardness "So, ah, are you gonna tell me your name? Or am I going to have to call you mystery doctor for the rest of the night." Luckily it worked and there wasn't any more slip ups on my behalf until she started cleaning up the vomit.

No way was I going to let a gorgeous girl like her bend over to clean up my mess. Although, thinking about it now, I wouldn't mind the view I'd get from her doing so..

As I placed my foot down to bear my weight, I knew I'd done fucked up.

My foot slid from underneath me and I prepared for a sore bump however before I knew it her face was pressed against mind and her arms were supporting me.

Hell, I could get used to being in such close proximity to her.

She was so close I could smell the mint from her breath.  I was just praying the mint I'd had got rid of the vomit-breath from earlier. We met at a stale-mate and neither moved for a few seconds.

Did she want to kiss me?
I didn't want to scare her so I gave her a chance to pull back, but the only way I could do that was to bite my lip. As I did I saw her eyes dart down to my lower lip, deep in thought before she resumed eye contact with me.

Oh man I would give anything to plant one on her right now.
Just as I built up the courage she blushed and pulled back slightly before helping me onto the bed and finishing cleaning up.
Missed my opportunity.

The next 10 minutes was uncomfortable to say the least. I could see that there was a war going on in her head, and she looked almost upset. So I decided to make sure she was okay, and make it known that I didn't regret the moment we had just had, and didn't think any less of her medical abilities because of it.

"Hey." A simple word said softly would always get my attention, and clearly it was the same for her as she stopped working to make eye contact. I then thanked her for all she'd done. Honestly, I don't know how she did it, but I felt so at peace around her despite not really knowing her. She was something extraordinary. And I loved the feelings she was giving me.

After I expressed my appreciation the tension left the room. Back to the comfortable silence with occasional small talk. She finished strapping my ankle and we decided that she'd give me a ride back to the hotel.
The car ride back was quiet, with the murmur of the radio in the background. However it was comfortable, I felt as though I could have stayed in that moment forever.
