Peach x Luigi (Prequel to Super Mario Galaxy)

Empathy

Luigi was going to Princess Peach's Castle to deliver the news that Captain Toad discovered a new place to go for vacation. When Luigi was going to her room he heard someone crying and assumed it was just Yellow Toad because he was very prone of injury as of late. However it was none other than the Princess herself. Her blue eyes were filled with tears and her dress wet with tears. 

Luigi asked, "Peach what is wrong?" as he sat down besides her on her bed.

Peach said, "Mario and I just broke up. I caught him cheating on me with Pauline then we started fighting. During that fight he slapped me and yelled at me while saying we were over."

As soon as Luigi heard this from Peach he just turned to her and hugged her. She hugged back and the tears just kept flowing but not as violently.

Luigi said, "First of all  Captain Toad found a new island that would make a good vacation spot. Secondly, Peach I know how hard it is when two people break up Daisy and I just broke up a few days ago. Also if Mario can't see that he left one of the most wonderful ladies in the Mushroom Kingdom then he doesn't deserve you. One day you are going to be with someone who loves you for you and only you."

Peach said, "Thanks for your kind words, and I know Daisy told me about your breakup the other day ago."

Then Peach wiped the tears from her face and took Luigi to the Royal Gardens to calm down. Eventually it did and then they stared into each other's eyes and it made both of them warm inside. Secretly both of them had secret feelings for the other but neither of them ever admitted to the other. They always had been in different relationships or something else got in the way however this time nothing was in their way.
