The Lumbsdens' a family with an aristocratic background from Pearland Texas, in a community called Shadow Creek Ranch in the Southern region of Huston. They lived in a two-story house with several living quarters for their housekeepers and gardeners, that sits on 25 acres of land. They are well known for their elegant Tea parties and fashionable balls, and also their successful  business in the winery and jewellery industry. Mama and papa Lumbsden as they were affectionately known, have made their name in the social arena of the top notches of society. Pap Lumbs was a renown banker selling stocks and bonds to the rich and famous of society and when his hands were not deviled into stocks and bonds he was busy producing the most beautiful wine and jewellery you could ever imagine. He knew just about everyone at the top of the ladder, and he knew just how to get them to invest in the stocks and bond business. Mama Lumbs worked behind the scenes to balance those books every night while everyone was fast asleep; she was the strength behind the family's success in both the stocks and bonds and the wine and jewellery investment business. Together they bore four children, three girls and one boy; Trishalee, Marsha, Saneta and Carlisle. They made sure their children didn't want anything; they were very proud yet humble. They hosted a few banquets and attended a lot of social gatherings which helped in building their business and putting them so high up on the social strata. Those children never knew what it was to be wanting of anything; neither did they see the journey of struggles and suffrage. They have never seen their parents argued much less to see any form of abuse while they were growing up. Life offered to them on a silver platter.

In the summer the children would have picnics in the meadow and exploring the estate they would sometimes go on hiking trips to Mountain Salem. They enjoyed the Estate; it was like a fairy tale life for them. Pap made sure they had enough adventures to last them a lifetime and of course, each one possessed some incredible value to them. Marsha's birthday falls in the middle of summer, and so she would have an outdoor party with lots of food, drink and candies. The only time of the year when the Estate is in full use is summer, so Pap was had happy has a lad hosting parties. Watching his children laugh and play was like a sweet melody to Paps ears, while Mama Lumbs kept praying for their well-being and safety. They never fail to show their children how much they loved them and the thought of them being happy made Mama and Papa gleamed in delight at their abounding joy. Soon came Autumn and school had resumed, and of course, they went to the best school in town, they could afford it. Trishalee, the eldest of all four children, enjoyed telling the tales of their summer adventures and her class enjoyed listening. The children were envious at times; some would drift off into daydreaming wishing they could have been there with them too. Spending time with Pap was probably the best part of the Lumbsden girls' life; he sure knew just how to make them happy. One thing Pap was keen on was making sure his children had a future to hold on to if something should ever happen to him.

Oh, Carlisle! He was very spoilt as he was the only boy in a clan of girls and the baby of the family. He has always looked forward to winter and especially Christmas, and Santa was the best pal. He spent most of his childhood believing in the Santa stories like most children in those days did. But his main reason was that he loved opening presents and snowball fights was his favourite old-time game to play. He used to make the best snowman ever in Shadow Creek, and it was a competition in the whole Shadow Creek community amongst the children. He was just pure fun to be around, definitely a kid at heart. Being the only boy, he was always able to get away with almost anything and to get away from his sisters pestering he would run to Mama Lumbs who would scold the girls for picking on their brother. Then he would laugh silently made monkey face at them because Mama was there to shield him. They had a beautiful yet spontaneous childhood life with minimal punishment, they were good children, smart, manner-able, intelligent and adventurous. Those were the days at Shadow Creek, being at the Lumbsden Manor was so fulfilling and a pleasing one. Occasionally the children would slip up, and Mama Lumbs would be the one to serve them their punishment and Pap he would often beg for them.
