CARL'S POV
I was looking for Jolina kaya when I saw mom by the pool lumapit ako para sana magtanong. But I was surprised to see mom with Jo... dipped in the water... in her bright colored swimsuit.
I gaped as I stared at her embracing her own self to cover up her chest.
I did not think twice when mom asked me to join them. I actually want to spend time with the both of them since I was disappointed and annoyed that afternoon because of Percy's behavior towards Jolina.
I pulled her and carried her by her waist trying to play with her a little but something strange has took over me.
I felt a strong voltage of electricity running inside my body that I really can't explain. I want to let her go because of that kaya lang napasubo na 'ko na pikunin si Jo, so itinuloy ko na lang despite of that and the stinging pain Jolina's causing me dahil sa kakahampas at kurot nito sa akin.
My heart leaped when I felt her fragile arms embraced me. Her body was so soft and seems vulnerable that I have to be careful carrying her.
Inayos ko ang pagkakahawak ko sa kanya. This time i'm already carrying her with my two arms.
I suddenly felt weak as I felt her body touching mine and when I heard her groan like a little child crying on my shoulder biglang bumilis ang heartbeat ko.
She tightened her embrace even more and burried her head between my neck and shoulder and pakiramdam ko lulubog na ko.
I slowly walked back to bring her to the shallow part of the water. I don't want to play with her anymore.
When mom turned her back, she walked out after hitting me many times.
I actually want to be with her. I don't know why pero I really wanted to see her with me and to see her face kahit annoyed pa ito sa pinaggagagawa ko.
But I brushed the thought off my head. Yes I wanted to be with her..
But maybe, just maybe, only to anger her because I want her to give up on our marriage and be the first one to file an annulment.
'Yun kasi ang naisip kong gawin noong una pa.
I really want to make her upset all the time.
But for some reason, part of me is protesting.
Maybe because I am not that kind of person. I defended.
"Tama nga ang sabi ng mommy n'yo. May lovebirds sa pool." Lolo arrived teasing us for being "sweet," as he thought we were.
We both stopped and looked at papsie's direction. And...
"Awww!" Bigla na lang naramdaman ko ang paniniko ni Jolina kaya napabitiw ako sa kanya and rubbed the part where he hit me.
Kaya I grabbed her. Unaware of my sudden action she lost her balance kaya napasandal ito sa kin.
Again something weird happened. I suddenly kissed the back of her head.
She then gave lolo a nod and left.
Ako naman I only watched her disappear from my sight. I suddenly felt a bit empty.
Laruan. I should think that way. I should think of that moment as playtime.
Wala na akong maaasar.
"O bakit umalis 'yon? Inaway mo ba?" Lolo asked.
I smiled at him.
"Hindi paps, we're just playing here. Napagod na siguro 'yon."
"Kamusta na ba kayo ng asawa mo?"
"What d'you mean kamusta, paps? I mean, we're fine. We're healthy. We're together and," I sighed and looked away.
"We're taking life one day at a time."
"Alright. But Carl, give me grandchildren as soon as possible. You know you're papsie is getting old everyday. I still want to see your children running around the house, playing in the yard and screaming and laughing. Alam mo na nababawasan ang hininga ko sa kada araw na lumilipas. Sana man lang makita ko ang magiging mga anak ninyo ni Jolina bago ako tuluyang malagutan ng hininga." Malungkot ang tono ni papsie kahit pa ito nakangiti sa akin.
"Paps!" Inakbayan ko si lolo.
"Don't say that. Sabi nga nila kalabaw lang ang tumatanda." I giggled.
"Ang lakas niyo pa, kaya h'wag kayo mag-isip ng ganyan. I promise you there will be kids here soon and you'll see them running. Kayo pa ang makukulitan!" With that papsie grinned and embraced me.
"Sinabi mo 'yan ha?" Nagliwanag ang mukha ni lolo sa saya sa narinig niya then he patted my back.
Pero with what lolo said I felt sad coz I felt being torn choosing between Aubrey and lolo.
If I'm to follow him completely it means abandoning my relationship with Aubrey, pero bilang may asawa I will be doing the right thing mapapasaya ko pa yung lolo ko.
But if I am to choose Aubrey, legally speaking I am committing a sin against God and violating the law and I will hurt lolo and mom.
After spending time with mom and lolo I went back to the room and found Jolina sitting on the couch.
She glanced at me then lay down on the bed.
"Galit ka ba?" I asked.
She moved only to cover herself with her blanket.
Lumapit ako at tumayo sa harap niya.
"If you're mad because I brought you to the deep part of the pool. I'm sorry."
"Bwisit ka!" I heard her say.
I immediately sat beside her and removed the blanket from her face.
"Ano ba?!" She said pulling the blankey back but I'm strong enough to get it from her grip.
"Ano ba nakakainis ka talaga! Akin na nga kasi 'yang kumot!" She said pero nangingiti ito.
"Aah, gusto mo 'to?" She only rolled her eyes at me.
"Kiss mo muna 'ko." I said winking my eyes.
"Nek nek mo!" She said then pushed the blanket on me. "Sa 'yo na o! Eto pa." She exclaimed pressing the blanket on my chest then she turned her back.
"Ang sungit mo!" I laughed hard before leaving her alone.
I smirked as I leave. Napikon na naman.
