"Heartbroken and Rebounding".

Christmas Eve, Greydale, 2012.

Body slumped, dragging his heels along the charcoal bricks beneath him came a tall man. His jet black hair ruffled from stress, rain drops trickling down to his tanned neck and into his grey suit. His eyes were fixated on his Chelsea boots; the battered, dirty things. They were thick with mud, the once chestnut colouring had faded from the heat of Autumn and were halfway to the beloved "mouth" that all shoes developed near their end.

"Mum will be so upset that I couldn't get the time off for Christmas." he thought. His mother was a huge fan of Christmas, hence why he was named Kristopher and his younger sister, Robyn.

Suddenly, a beautiful woman of a similar age to him came running. Her umber cheeks were flushed with worry, her piercing blue eyes wide, she looked extremely stressed and in a hurry.

"Oh God, I'm going to be so late!" she muttered quickly. Her breaths were short, she was having a panic attack.

As she stepped past Kris to avoid a collision, her heel slipped into the drain causing her to face-plant the floor spectacularly. Without a second thought, Kris bent to his knees and held out a hand to this mysterious woman.

"N-Need a hand?" he stammered, he had never met someone with such an alluring presence.

As she grabbed his hand tightly, they both returned to their standing positions. Both fumbling with their outfits, they flattened them out to their original shape. The woman was drenched in the rain water that had collected in the top of the drain cover and she proved this by shaking her leg one after the other.

"Are you-- Are you okay, Miss?" Kris asked, awkwardly. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you fall."

Her cheeks were now even redder than before, Kris could feel his heart beating out of his chest. A few moments passed before the woman brought her lips up into a smirk. Lines grew on her cheeks which sat alongside her dimples politely, she looked ever so cute. A long, deep breath later from the both of them, she finally broke the silence.

"Well sir, you'll just have to make it up to me tonight." she spoke in a soft, silky accent. One that could make you do anything.

"Tonight?" Kris choked, astonished with how forward this lady was - not that he was complaining, of course.

"Yes, at the little restaurant on the corner." she pointed vaguely with her right hand, but Kris already knew the place she was talking about. It had just opened and it was the most romantic restaurant in all of Greydale. As Kris thought momentarily, the woman had slipped her hand into the pocket of her suit and pulled out a bright pink business card before taking a step closer to Kris. As she leaned into him, Kris became intoxicated by the sweet scent of bergamot, jasmine and little hints of cedar wood.

"8:00pm. Don't be late." she whispered, winking as she began to walk away. Kris turned around to face her, only to see her fix her hair as her hips swayed. She was definitely a beauty, someone that Kris wanted to know more about.

Peering down at the business card, Kris noted a few details:

Larissa Denton, Denton Enterprise, Head of Management.
