Chapter 2

Naki pushed the door to Hokage's office open...

"Hokage-sama." Naki greeted with a bow.
"Hello Naki, come here I'll fill you in on the details." He responded with a warm smile.
Naki nodded in response, obediently coming closer. The Third knew a lot about Naki. He knew that deep down in her cold heart there was a small flame that one day will transform into a strong will of fire.

Hiruzen filled Naki in on all the details and told her to get ready. She was going to go to a village nearby to retrieve a scroll that was stolen. What Naki didn't know was that Hiruzen knew about her newly discovered abilities...

Naki left and moments later an Anbu appeared in The Hokage's office.
"I'll tell you everything you need to know...Tenzo." The Third Hokage stated firmly.

~Time Skip~

Naki set off for her exam after saying farewell to her family. It was slowly starting to get dark so it was perfect to attack by surprise.

After approximately an hour of running, the young Akimichi reached her destination. She double checked her weapons and decided to wait until it gets darker...

During her wait, she decided to practice her wood-style. It failed miserably as usual. Naki sighed from frustration. She gave up and just waited for the sun to set.

Naki decided it was time to attack. What she didn't know was that all of this was set up to reveal her wood-style. She hid in the shadows and skilfully passed all the traps.

Once she has arrived in the room where the scroll was kept, she got attacked by numerous enemy shinobi. There were 20 of them, she was trapped.

She dodged all their attacks with incredible speed but she was outnumbered. She defeated 5 of them using Akimichi Clans expansion jutsu. Nevertheless she couldn't possibly defeat 15 skilled ninja all by herself. She tried using her wood-style once again but all that she managed to do was sprout a little flower.

It was at that moment another shinobi came in sight and Naki recognised it was a Anbu from Konoha. She was relieved that someone came to help. The Anbu attacked using...wood-style. Naki was surprised but didn't show it, she wasn't the type that expressed her emotions.

With his help she defeated the enemy shinobi and got a hold of the scroll. The mysterious Anbu and Naki started making their way back to the Leaf Village.

When they were a safe distance from the village, they stopped. During the whole fight they didn't exchange a single word. There was an awkward silence which was broken by the young Akimichi. "How is it possible you can use wood-style?" She asked sternly.

A moment of silence passed before the Anbu took off his mask. He had brown hair and almond shaped eyes. He looked into Naki's eyes. "I could ask you the same." He said calmly. Naki realised that he saw her using the jutsu.

Her cheeks were slightly red from embarrassment. She saw him using wood-style and he could use such powerful jutsu's, she only sprouted a little flower. Naki quickly recovered from her flustered state.

"Well I don't know to be honest...I discovered this ability approximately a week ago..." She confessed. At that moment she realised she never introduced herself. "I'm Naki by the way." She added after a second.

"I'm Tenzo, The Third sent me as back-up." The Anbu who's name is Tenzo replied with a smile. "He knew about your wood-style so he sent me to help you, This whole mission was set up for you to see that you're not the only one with wood-style." Tenzo added after a moment of silence had passed.

Naki nodded, unfazed by the situation. "We should head back now." She said. "I agree, I'll tell you why I can use wood-style another time." Tenzo replied. Naki nodded.

~Time Skip~

Tenzo and Naki arrived at Hokage's office. Naki placed the scroll on Hiruzen's desk and bowed deeply. "I'm guessing Tenzo told you everything about the mission?" Hiruzen asked. "Yes Hokage-sama." Naki replied.

"Now...Naki you have officially become a jonin." Hiruzen said with a grin. Naki thanked him and bowed once again. "I've got one more thing to say...Tenzo you will teach Naki how to use wood-style...starting tommorow." He exclaimed.

Naki and Tenzo looked at each other somewhat surprised. They didn't know what to think about it but they agreed. "You are dismissed." Sarutobi said and waved them goodbye.

The moment they left the building they stopped. "See you tommorow Naki." Tenzo said with a smile. "See you tommorow Tenzo." Naki replied with a small smile.

Tommorow was going to be an interesting day...
