I ran down the stairs and just before I was about to leave my mum said-
"Uh uh not so fast! What do you say?"
"Bye momma I might be a little late today because MB are in town and I really want to meet them!"
"Are you asking or telling" she said firmly

"Exactly.. Be home no later then 8.. Understood?"
I kissed my mum indicating to her to draw back my curfew
