Joe's pov

"I've just uploaded a new video to my main channel with Caspar, its an announcement so make sure to swipe up to check it out" I say to the phone in my hand, open on the instagram app.

"Im really nervous about this video, Joe." Caspar says from his spot on the bed next to me

I sigh, "Don't worry about it Caspar-i'm sure our fans will support us"

"Are you sure though?" the south african pipes up as he rubs the nape of his neck "I don't feel like it was the right decision just yet"

"Its done now, there's nothing we can do to change it." i fiddle with the ring on the forth finger of my right hand, a habit i have a tendency to do when i'm nervous

"I know- But, like what if they don't support us like they always said they would." he mumbles towards the end

Frustration coming over me, i let out a groan "I don't even know why we're getting so worked up about this. Why the fuck do we all of a sudden care what people think of us."

Caspar's pov

"What do you want for dinner?" Joe asks as he sets his laptop back on the wooden desk and starts walking up the stairs of the shared apartment

"We could order pizza" he calls from the bar stools in the kitchen

"But i want you" i sigh from my space on the bed to go order pizza with Joe instead

"Have you checked the comments on the new video?" i ask Joe

After we ate our pizza, we both went back into Joes room to watch netflix. He sat playing with my hair-neither of us really paying attention to the actors performing on the screen in front of us

"No" he exhales "I've been too anxious to look."

"Should we check them now?" i question but it comes out more like a statement

Without an answer he picks up his macbook from the end of the bed and changes the page to Youtube.

"Are you sure about this, Caspar?"

"We can't hide from it forever." i pick up his laptop and sign into Youtube

"How do you-"

"Joe, i know everything." i cut him off and open his channel

"Debatable." he mumbles and i lightly slap his arm

"You ready?"

"Somewhat" i reply as i pull up the recently uploaded video

"120 dislikes..."

"It's probably just a glitch, happens all the right?" i reassure him as we start reading through the comments

"Wow." Joe gently laughs as we continue to look over our 'fans' feedback of the video

"This is um..not what i was expecting." i say even though i didnt really know what to say

'I know i shipped Jaspar, but that was as friends not a couple.'
'honestly hope this is a prank'
'Jaspar? more like JaspEr'
'hate to break it to you but the Jaspar ship only sails as a friends not a couple'
'They look so uncomfortable around eachother'
'wow...coming out & dating for attention?! how low can yous get'
'this relationship is just a time bomb'
'we never even wanted yous to become a couple'
'what did i just watch...'
'should've just kept this 'relationship' to your selves tbh'

The comments kept going on and on and on. I hated this yet i kept reading one after another after another.

Slamming the lid shut i look over at my boyfriend, tears running down his face. I pull him into me and wrap my arms around his shaking body.

"I didn't realise people could be so mean about a relationship!" he cries

Ive got a few things to say :))
1. I know that youtube video thing looks AWFUL. No need to tell me.
2. I kinda feel like my writing is starting to improve. I dont know, might or might not be.
3. IM IN NEW ZEALAND!! woooo. Im actually really proud of myself. It was a 23 h 30 m flight and we stopped over in Kuala Lumpur. And in that time i only had one panic attack. can we please take a moment.
