Yongguk sighed for the umpteenth time while running his fingers through his hair. He was currently sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him. He had dropped Namjoon off at school then came straight back home. He kept thinking about the conversation he and Yunho had yesterday. What did his boss want with Junhong? There was something wrong about all of this, but the assassin didn't know what it was. It was slowly making his irritation and frustration worse. "Damn it. I need a fucking cigarette." Standing from the chair, Yongguk stepped into the living room and opened one of the night stand drawers. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and pulled one of the cancerous sticks out.
It was rare for Yongguk to smoke. Whenever he did, it would be because he was really stressed out. The assassin made sure to only smoke whenever Namjoon wasn't home wasn't home. Namjoon didn't like the smell of cigarettes, and definitely didn't like Yongguk smoking them. Oh well. Best make sure to hide the pack and take a shower afterwards.
Yongguk stepped outside on the porch and sat down on one of the chairs. Taking a puff of the cigarette, Yongguk felt a wave of relaxation washing over him. He loved the effect cigarettes had on him. No matter what was wrong, smoking one of those cancer sticks always made him feel better. Gray smoke escaped through his nose before he blew out the rest of it from his mouth.
While taking puff after puff of the cigarette, Yongguk began thinking what he should do. There was no way in hell he was going to harm Junhong. He felt this odd connection to the kid that was making his job more difficult than what it needed to be. Knowing that he had agreed to bring Junhong to Yunho, Yongguk was beginning to think of ways he could refrain from doing that. Not knowing what Yunho had in mind for Junhong worried him. A lot.
The assassin groaned with frustration, running his free hand through his hair. "Tsk. What the hell am I going to do? I can't hand the kid over just like that. What if the Boss does something terrible to him?" Finishing the first cigarette, Yongguk dropped it on the floor then stepped on it. Still feeling his irritation and frustration, he immediately pulled out and lit up another cigarette. Taking a rather large puff, Yongguk felt the relaxing wave wash over him again.
All of this was beginning to give him a headache. He needed some help with this. He would call Himchan, but didn't want to bother him. Especially since he was spending the day with Jongup. Yongguk thought maybe he could call Daehyun. Maybe the younger could help him with this. After all, he was one of the best assassins before he left. Maybe he could help Yongguk think of a plan to somehow save Junhong.
Holding the cigarette between his lips, Yongguk pulled out his cell phone and looked for Daehyun's number. Once he found it, he pressed the call button and held the phone to his ear. He hoped he wouldn't be bothering the younger if he so happened to be busy. While waiting, he took another puff of his cigarette.
"Hey Yongguk Hyung. What's up?" Came Daehyun's voice once the call had been answered. The distant sound of the television could be heard the in the background.
"Hey Daehyun. Sorry for calling you out of random, but I need to talk to you about something." Yongguk looked at the passing cars while taking another puff of his cigarette.
"Sure, Hyung. What's up? Is there something wrong?" Daehyun turned off the television so Yongguk could have all of his attention.
"Can we meet up? I don't want to risk telling you over the phone." Yongguk finished his second cigarette and dropped it on the floor, stepping on it shortly after. He knew there was no way Yunho will find out Yongguk is telling Daehyun this, but he didn't want to risk anything.
"Sure. Where do you want to meet up?" Daehyun knew this must be important if the elder wanted to meet you to talk. The ex-assassin stood from his couch and made his way up the stairs.
