Chapter 41

Jacqueline's POV

I stay silent as Disha unties all of us.

"Well. Run off. Break hearts. And I want you all back here this location in 2 days." Disha says.

As soon as we get outside Birdy hyperventilates and then breaks down.

"I love Ranbiii! I can't leave him!" She says amidst sobs.

"I can't leave Sidharth either we've been married for 11 years!"

"Guys come on. We can't stay here sobbing. We have to turn the tables." I say.

"How?!" The twins ask.

"Look you guys are in the same house. Try and get the guys alone and tell then everything. And then we'll call the police on Disha as soon as we go back to her or something." I say.

They nod. "We have to do this together." Shraddha says.

"You have my beak." Birdy says sniffing.

We then drive home.

"Salman can I talk to you in private?" I ask.

"Yeah what is it?"

"One second let me just freshen up." I go to my bedroom.

"You think you're so clever." I gasp to see a speaker with Dishas words coming out.

"Don't you dare think of telling your husband. Or Prem gets it." She says.

I nod my head. "I won't. Just don't hurt my family."

Shraddha's POV

"Mum finally your back come on lets go Buttercream!" Ayesha whines.

"One second I just need to quickly talk to Papa about something." I say.

"Birdy Masi will you come too?"

"I'm sorry Ayeshii. I'm a busy bird." She sniffs.

"What is it?" Sidharth asks.

"Its about Di-"

Then I hear beeping.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Maybe its the microwave.

Then the worst thing comes into my head as I remember Disha's threats.

"I'll set off the bombs. I'll set off the bombs. Bombs!"

What if the beeping sound is a bomb.

"Sidharth go away. I'll talk to you later!" I say.

"On-"

"Go!"

I then talk to Disha via the TV.

"I told you sisters what you would get if you crossed paths with me." She says. "Next time it'll be the real bomb."

"I know Di but Disha is too smart." I say to Jacqueline on the phone.

"Thats true. What do we do?"

"We have to give in." I say with a deep breath.

"Shraddha I can't leave everyone." Jacqueline says.

"Di you have to."

"But-"

"Just pack your things and wait outside that damn spa centre."

"I thought you liked spa centres." A voice says startling me.

"Alia! You scared me." I say.

"Who's going on holiday?" She asks sitting on my bed.

I look at the TV.

"No one. We're just going for a spa day and we might go in the jacuzzi so Di will need her costume and fresh clothes etc."

"Ooh! Can I come?"

"No! I mean, we booked it a long time ago and we thought it would be a sister.."

"Oh. I get it. Whats up with you lately Shraddha? You have no time for your bestie." Alia says.

"You know yaar. I've been busy." I say.

"I miss the old days! We barely see each other anymore!"

"Same." I say.

I wish I could tell Alia but I would just put her in danger.

"Lets all go Buttercream tomorrow." She says.

"Sounds good." I say. "But now I really have to go." I then leave.

"Birdy stop sobbing!" I say trying to hold back my own tears. If I break down both Jacqueline and Birdy will too and we need to be strong.

"I can't help it! I just had to break up with Ranbii!"

Flashback
Birdys POV

"Hey Birdy. Do you wanna go out for dinner today?" Ranbi says.

I remember that theres no choice for me but to break up with Ranbi.

"Look Ranbi this isnt working out. I can't be your bird friend anymore. I just dont feel the spark."

"But Birdy I love you. You're everything to me." He says holding my hand.

I break free. "I don't give a tweet! We're over Ranbi! Over! I don't love you so just forget me!"

"I can't. I will see you every day."

"Thats not my problem."

"Birdy wait!" He calls.

I storm out of the room just as I break into tears.

Shraddha's POV

"You think that was bad?" Jacqueline says. "God knows what will happen to us now. We're Dishas pawns. She controls us. And i can't say bye to my family or they'll get killed!"

I hug her.

"I'm sorry Jacqi. You're right. I'm being selfish. We just have to hope Disha doesn't harm anyone else."

"Look Birdy I'm sorry. I know I've always put you down because of your love for... birds. But whatever happens now I want you to know I love both of you."

"Aww Jacqi you're so sweet."

Suddenly Di rushes to a bush and is sick.

"Jacq? Are you okay?" I ask as we rush up to her.

"There's something I need to tell you guys." She says.

"What?"

"I'm pregnant."
