This is a story about a boy named Jalen that is in middle school that happens to fall in love with a girl, and she so happens to be a very mysterious girl. He ends up being friends with her but not for long, the bond bettween them becomes stronger...

Jalen's POV
I had just moved from Canada to New York City and ever since my mother died I have felt nothing but pain and saddness. The trip all the way to New York City took a pretty long time but I didn't care that much. Once we got to the house me and my father started to unpack the furniture and all of our belongings. Me and my father haven't talked to eachother that much ever since mother died in 2016 but she only died from cancer. Father cared alot about mother and the fact that she is no longer with us is very painful. A few hours pasted by and me and my father finally unloaded all of the things from the truck and into the house and all we had to do now is arrange the furniture in the house and get all of our stuff out of the boxes and put them away.
"I think we should rest for now, and by tommorrow morning we should start unpacking everything from the boxes." My father stated. My father pulled out a mattress because since our beds weren't put together, we werent able to sleep on them. My father also got a blanket from a box that was labeled Blankets and Sheets and he layed the blanket on the mattress. I layed myself on the mattress, covering my self with the blanket while my father turns off the lights and goes to sleep with me on the mattress. As I lay there on the mattress I start to think to my self about how my school will be like. I believe there are just going to be perverted boys in this school, just like my old school. For this school year, I think I just want to concentrate on work rather than friends. I also wonder if there will be any cute girls there too. I start to become more and more tired as my eye lids get heavier by the minuite.
I wake up in the morning on my mattress and I get up up from the mattress and walk over to the micro wave to see what time it is and it said 10:45 AM which means father is probably up. I look in one of the rooms to find my father unpacking all of his stuff in his room.
"You better get started on your unpacking or you won't be able to finish it all all in one day." Father said.
"When are we going to be able to eat breakfast?" I asked.
"I ordered some sandwhiches for breakfast so they should be here any minute." Father stated.
I started to unpack all of my belongings in my room and organize them. I have OCD so I feel like everything should be neat and organized. Then I hearded my father talking on the phone saying "I would like to sign up my son for school today so can I come over by the school to fill out the paper?" Father said on the phone. So in a couple of days or less I am going to be officially in school and ready to go but I need to get all my materials for school.
"Father can I go run to the store real quick to get all the materials for school?" I asked.
Without saying a word my father pulls out his wallet from his back pocket and pulls out a 100 dollar bill.
" Be careful, just get what you need for school and come right back home. You better be here by 1:00 PM no later and if you are not here then I am going to send the cops to go look for you." He said.
I grabbed the 100 dollar bill and and walked out the door. Since Wal-mart was right around the corner it shouldn't take the long to get all the stuff. A few minutes passed by and I was finally at Wal-Mart. I walked in eagerly and start looking for the list of things I needed.
The list of things I need looked like this:
Things I need for school
1.) 4 glue sticks 2.) 5 Spiral Notebooks 3.) 1 Lunchbox 4.) 1 Bookbag 5.) 1 pencil holder 6.) 2 packs of Pencils 7.) 1 Water Bottle 8.) 3 packs of Sticky Notes 9.) 2 packs of Index Cards 10.) Get Lunchables and Juice
To me this was a very long list and it had alot of things to get so I better hurry up. I go to the section that has all the things for school and start looking 10 minutes later I found everything I needed so I walked over to the cashier to buy all of my stuff. Then someone catches my eye and it's a girl that had a jacket that was white and the hoodie had cat ears on them. The girl had somewhat of grayish hair and grayish eyes and attached to her belt was a cat tail. This girl looked a little bit on the weird side but I could tell that she loves cats.
The cat girl walked up right behind me with her mother right behind her and her mother only had a few things in her hands. The girl then looked at me with curiosity.

The Mysterious Girl
I looked away and put all of my stuff on the conveyor belt and waited til it was my turn to pay. I handed the cashier the 100 DOLLAR bill and in return I get 25 dollars back. That was difinatley a good ammout my father gave to me. I started to walk home and a few minutes later I finally return back home at 1:01 just a minute late! I sneak in hoping my father wouldn't notice but that's when I was wrong my father turned around in the living room spotting me as I walk in. He had he phone held up to his ear and then he gives me a look of your in trouble face.
He then talks into the phone saying "I am sorry about the trouble I have caused you because my son just returned home thank you have a nice day." He said.
He hung up the phone and then I found myself in huge trouble just because I was one minute late! Now I bet he is going to lecture me then punish me so I learned my lesson.
"Why were you late, it doesn't take that long just to get a few stuff from the store." He stated.
"Well it takes a little while to find a bunch of things on a list so of course I am going to take a little while!" I shouted.
"You should have picked up the pace cause now you got me calling the police stating the my son has not come home yet and then I find you coming through the door!" He shouted.
Alright well you guys I am going to stop here for now I know I haven't got to mention alot about the mysterious girl but I promise you that Iwill get to include her in chapter 2 or 3 so hang on tight. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did making it. :)
