Chapter one: blast from the past

Two years have past since that faithful night In riverdale, a lot has happened since then, Archie Andrews was gone and was living the life in California. For everyone else that he left behind in riverdale, well for them it was hard to move on but eventually everyone had but for some it took more time for them to process that Archie Andrews probably the next runner up golden boy behind Jason blossom was gone and he was never coming back.

"Archie I can't keep doing this"Mary said walking with her son out of the school.

"Mom it isn't my fault"Archie said"I didn't start the fight".

"No you didn't"Mary said"but this is your fourth fight this year and you only been a senior for a month".

"So What are you going to do?"Archie asked his mom.

"I don't know I will figure it out"Mary said"but what I do know is that your grounded".

"What Mom come on"Archie said.

"Archie you can't argue with me"Mary said"you just got expelled arch".

Later that night Archie was in his room laying down waiting for his mom to talk to him but he got tired of waiting so he quietly walked out of his room and kneeled down near the stairs as he tried to listen to his mom as she was talking to someone.

"What do you think the options are?"Mary asked her friend".

"If your lucky that boy parents doesn't press charges maybe you should consider getting Archie some help"her friend said.

Archie couldn't believe what he was hearing,m so he decided to walk down there and confront her.

"Archie what are you doing down here?"his mother asked him.

"Is that true?"Archie asked"he could press charges against me?".

"Archie I want you to meet my friend Matt"Mary said"he's a lawyer and he works with young teens like you".

"So What he's here to help me not to go to jail"Archie said"I can't believe this".

"Arch sit down and we can talk about this"his mother said and he did as she said.

"First of all Archie you would not go to jail it would be a juvenile detention center"Matt said to him"you would be there until the court decides what to do with you, if the boy does press charges".Archie sighed and rubbed his eyes with his hands.

"Archie you need to understand that the system might want to take you away from me"Mary said"you gotten into a lot of trouble in the last year".

"So your telling me there still a good chance of me getting taken away from you still, if that asshole doesn't press charges"Archie said"is there another option?".

"No arch I'm sorry"Mary said.

"Wait what about riverdale?"Archie said.

"What about it?"Mary said.

"I can go back there?"Archie said to his mother.

"No Archie"Mary said to him"no chance in hell".

"Mom I'm almost eighteen, I'm basically an adult"Archie said.

"Yeah well your still seventeen and your still my child"Mary said.

"Mom I'm basically taking care of myself"Archie said"your never here".

"Arch..."Mary said"I have a job".

"Yeah Mom I get that"Archie said"but you already have enough on your plate including me".

"Even if I agree to you going back there where would you stay?"Mary asked her son.

"Jughead"Archie said"he has his own apartment now".

"Okay Archie, you can go back"Mary said"I'm going to enroll back in to Riverdale High from here".

"Thank you Mom"Archie said"I love you so much".

"But I want you to call me"Mary said"once your back there and then every day".

"I will"Archie said" I promise".

Good"Mary said smiling"now go pack".

Archie was driving for about a day or two before he finally made it towards the outskirts of riverdale, he stopped his car and got out and look at the sign that read.... welcome to riverdale, the town with pep. Archie smiled reading that sign, he then got back into his car and headed towards Jughead's apartment, he and Jughead talked so many times that Jughead always told him where it was and what apartment number it was also. Once Archie got there he stopped his car and got out and looked around, it was a nice little complex but not as nice as Veronica's. He went up to Jughead's apartment and knocked on the door, he waited for about a minute until he heard footsteps heading towards the door then the door opened and Archie smiled as he saw his best friend standing there shocked to what he was seeing.

"So are you going to let me in or are you going to stare at me?"Archie said

"Archie what are you doing here"Jughead said

"I'm back"Archie said"for good"

"Come here"Jughead said reaching out for a hug that Archie accepted."So what exactly happened?".

Archie then told Jughead everything that happened from right when he left riverdale from now.

"So how are you and betty?"Archie asked Jughead.

"We are perfect"Jughead said smiling"actually we are more than perfect we are engaged". Archie was shocked to hear that they were engaged but at the same time he was happy for them.

"Wow that's huge"Archie said"So.... how is she?".

"Betty?"Jughead asked"or Veronica" he said raising an eyebrow.

"Both"Archie said.

"Well when you first left it was pretty terrible for Both of them.... well for Betty it wasn't that bad she got over it in a month"Jughead said" and Veronica she will probably hit you when you find her".

"What why?"Archie said to Jughead"she did read my note right?".

"Oh she read that letter, and guessed what she did with it she burned it"Jughead said

"Can't blame her I told her to move on with her life and don't think about me"Archie said.

"Woah Archie that's kinda messed up"Jughead said"she thought that you were still here when she woke up from her coma".

"But still I did say to her that there is hope for us"Archie said.

"What exactly did you say?"Jughead asked him.

"I said Veronica when I do come back I will fight for you even if you don't have feelings for me and hate me.... I will make you fall in love with me again because..... because your worth it"Archie said.

"Wow arch that's deep"Jughead said"so where exactly are you going to stay? Your house is gone".

"What? What happened to it"Archie asked.

"Veronica did arch"Jughead said"she really took your break up bad".

"I don't know"Archie said.

"Hey if you want you can crash here for awhile it's a two bedroom apartment and Betty is only here on the weekends"Jughead said.

"Thanks Jug I really appreciate that"Archie said. Then out of know where the door bell rang and the two boys looked at it.

"I will get it"Jughead said getting up from the couch then Jughead walked towards the door and opened it only to reveal....Betty and Veronica.
