=Chapter 3=
Early morning of Tuesday I dragged myself out of bed much to my regret, but I knew that I needed to get up if I ever wanted to make it to school in time. Turning my back on the temptation of snuggling underneath the soft covers of my bed I sighed heavily and trudged down the hallway to the bathroom.
Having had a quick shower and dusting on a light layer of make up to hide the dark purple bruises that rimmed my eyes I shuffled down the stairs and back into the kitchen when I groaned. I had completely forgotten the mess I had made last night when I had tried to make dinner, there were dishes strewn on nearly every counter top as well as sticky pans of charred pasta and cheese.
Last night I had decided to try and make macaroni and cheese but just as anyone should have expected the lot had somehow caught fire with in the first 5 minutes, after running around the kitchen in panic I had managed to put it out before moving on to attempting making toast. Surely this task shouldn't have been hard but that also hadn't worked out for me – I'm not going into details on that one I don't think I would ever be able to live it down.
This was the reason why I should never be put into a kitchen on my own, bad things would always happen thank goodness though I was able to make a pretty wicked bowl of cereal. Ignoring the total mess I decided to just clean the lot up when I got back from school I would defiantly need time to finish the tedious task.
Not feeling too hungry I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket and bite into the juicy flesh savouring the taste. Wondering out of the kitchen I walk towards my bag and packed the things inside that I was going to be needing for the day at school, yesterday I had gone down to the shops and brought some books for my classes so I could actually start doing my work properly so that wasn't a problem anymore. I sighed as I checked my timetable once again to double check everything.
Realizing that I did in fact have everything I needed I glanced down at my cell phone and checked the time seeing that I didn't have to long until I ran out of time to reach the gates tossing my bag strap over my shoulder and grabbed my bike gear from the chair beside the front door.
Walking outside I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was drizzling lightly I could have dance in joy, I had been waiting for so long to feel refreshing coldness in the weather this Chicago climate was ridicules the amount of sun they got here.
I took my time making my way over to the garage just savouring the soothing drops as they landed on my skin. Wheeling my bike from the garage I tossed my helmet and jacket on before jumping onto the soft seat.
Revving the engine I gunned it from my house out onto the main road, luckily there was barely any traffic so I was able to go as fast as I dared on the partially damp road to be honest it was fast enough to get a ticket but I didn't care, the freedom that driving this bike was addicting.
Pulling into my parking spot I was shocked to find Chris, Charlotte and Annie all waiting for me casually talking together. Climbing off my bike I walked over to them pulling my helmet from my face and gently shook my hair free.
"Hey Alex!" Charlotte waved cheerily over at me obviously stopping the conversation that had just been happening; I awkwardly waved over at the group as I approached them.
