Chapter 1: New Beginning

My body longs for the man who calls me his, but he thrusts me away every time she returns. He begged me to be his bride, but his heart is and will always be hers. Who is she? This woman I speak of. Her name is really Adriana, but she goes by Alisa Lansky on Earth. She is a News Anchor for NBC.

I am standing in the bathroom listening to the conversation my sister is having with King Brileon and Jared. I am three months pregnant with my ex-husband's twins. What a hot mess? I should never have married him despite Ala's pleading with me to do so. Of all of us. I believe the relationship I had with General Jared Sky was the worst.

Well, I guess I need to explain myself, but first I need to get out of this bathroom. I walk out just as Ala disconnects the vidscreen and I sigh.

"Thank you big sis! I really appreciate you handling both of our ex husbands." I tell her and she bursts into tears. Well, maybe I was wrong, we both have had it rough with those men. They both vowed to love us until the day one or both of us die. Yet, upon their best friends returning they leave us. It is quite sad when Adriana knows Jared better than I do. Just as it is sad that Danica knows Brileon better than Ala does.

I admit both Ala and I have tried to get close to our husbands. Only through overhearing secret conversations have we learned all that we have about them. I sigh as I realize once again that Jared will be no where around for the birth of our twins. He was with her when I had April, and Stanton. He is with her now. Even though my divorce brings me great sadness. I know I did the right thing for he was never mine.

Tears fall down my face and I swipe them away. I walk up to Ala and give her a hug. She weeps against my long sleeve red maternity dress and I walk her over to the other bed in this room.

"I believe you need to rest and eat something as well. That is if you haven't done so already."

Ala nods and climbs under the covers of the queen size bed with a Forest Green quilt over the sheets. I look around for food and see another plate. It has the same thing I had on mine, but instead of the bacon she has sausage. I walk over to the plate and bring it to the microwave to warm.

My thoughts turn back to him. Jared Sky. Well, in truth his real name is Skytran Xylon Jared Rayvan. The microwave beeps to let me know the food is done. I take it out and walk back to my sister. I hand her the plate of food and she starts eating.

"You need to get back in bed my sister and rest. Your nieces are taking care of the younger kids." Dr. Lynn says.

"Sahara Lynn I am no longer your sister. Alisa or shall I say Adriana is his wife." I reply and she gasps.

"You know! But How? That is the secret I refused to reveal, because my brother requested it." Dr. Lynn says.

"Worry not Sahara Lynn. I didn't find out from you. It was Alisa who revealed it to me. She came to me right before I went into labor with April ten years ago. She told me she was rightfully Jared's wife and showed me their wedding certificate.

"That certificate wasn't real. Jared divorced her seven months before he met you."

"I know I looked into it, but he remarried her while I was pregnant with April. The certificate she showed me was authentic."

"What?!"

"Yep! He remarried her during the time he was away from me. He loves her Sahara Lynn. I don't understand why I listened to Ala and married him."
