Changing the Past

Finally! Correct place and time. This is my home network bago nagbago ang lahat, bago ako niloko ni Dingdong! Masakit pa rin, oo, pero hindi na ito kasing sakit ng dati. Nasanay na ako! 

I missed GMA. It was my home from the last years since 2001. Pero dito ko din naman nakilala ang lalakeng nanakit sa akin. Am I desperate in choosing this path for my life? But this is what I always wanted since that breakup, that cheating- na sana hindi ko nalang siya nakilala at nakasama. 

"Karylle. I have to tell you something." Said my manager. She will going to tell me about an audition for the role of Alena. 

"Ano po yun?" I asked, pretending that I don't know, pero kanina pa ako nangangating sabihin sa kanya na hindi ako mago-audition

"Ikatutuwa mo ito! May bagong fantaserye kasi na ee-air ng network. Hindi ko paa pwedeng sabihin sa'yo pero mago-audition ka."

"I appreciate mamang pero pass muna ako diyan." Halata ang shock nito.

"Bakit hindee??? This is your chance! It will help your carrer K!" Napaupo ito sa tabi ko. Nanlulumo. 

"Kasi mamang, I decided to transfer to another network." 

"Whaaaattt?? Waaah..Are you serious?"

I stand up, clasping my hands then face my manager. 

"I am dead serious. I need this! Please? Help me..Sa lahat, ikaw ang bukod tanging nakakaalam na mas gaganda ang carrer ko sa ABS. Believe me mamang, it'll happen."

"Why you are so sure?"

"I chose to become optimistic. May mga nangyayari sa mundo na hindi natin inaasahang pwede palang mangyari. Dati, akala ko masaya na ako dito, but I know my true haappiness didn't belong here mamang, but I will be forever thankful for this network." I saw surrender on her eyes. Then she raise both her hands as a sign of ssurrender.

"Be sure it is good for both of us, K..You know I treated you as my own. I just want what's best for you." Tumayo na rin siya at hinarap ako. This is it. No one's turning her back! 

"I assure you mamang, 100 percent." I smiled at her and that's it. Umalis na siya! Many years ago, umoo ako sa kanya. I auditioned for Amihan's role, but Alena's role was given to me. Kasi nga daw kinakitaan kami ng chemistry ni Dingdong, then that chemistry thingy blossomed into something. I won! I will never have a chance to be with Dong. Maybe when I go back to my present, I will forget everything including the heartaches. Makakalimutan din ni Dong na naging kami, magiging masaya na sila ni Marian. The next thing that I want to go is that time na nagkakilala kami ni Yael sa concert. I fish out the clock from my pocket. It is ticking slowly. I think about that time as I move the hands counterclockwise, pero nadulas ang kamay ko at sumobra ng limang beses ang ikot ko. The next thing I knew, I am standing in the middle of an alley.

But I never saw this place before. Strange but I turned my head, hoping to see familiar faces. Para itong squater sa klase ng bahay na nakikita ko. I walk, don't know where to go or what brought me here. Hindi kaya nagkamali ang orasan? Then I heard a loud cheer not so far from me. Parang, may naglalaro ng basketball. Out of my curiosity ay naglakad ako papunta sa maingay. Palapit ng palapit ang ingay. Nakita ko na ang kumpulan ng mga taong nanunood. Nakikinood na rin ako, hanggang sa mahagip ng tingin ko ang lalakeng nakajersey ng number 1.

That's 3 points from Viceral!- Rinig kong sigaw ng announcer. OMG! Hindi nga ako nililinlang ng paningin ko. Si Vicce nga ito nung kabaataan niya. Noong mga panahon sigurong lalake pa siya? I saw him playing basketball. Ilang beses ko na ring inisip dati kung ano siya nung mga kabataan niya. I never thought, I would be able to witness it with my own eyes. Siguro, nasa 2o's na siya this time.
