            Elton John's pov

I was walking into my house, getting ready for Patrick to come over. I was pretty amazing by this boy, how much power he had in his voice, how he could control it, and how much he loved doing his job.

He kinda reminded me of a younger me. Of course If that makes any sense, the kid was good and so I'm very excited to work with him

My doorbell chimed, and I opened the door. On the other side of the door stood Patrick, damn, he was a lot shorter in person.

"Hey! I'm here to work on the song," He looked pretty nervous, from what I've heard they've wanted to work with me for a while. Fall Out Boy was a amazing band, It was my pleasure to do a song with them.

"Of course, come on in!" I gestured for him to walk in, and he did. I shut the door behind him I could tell something was on his mind, he was a lot more nervous than he needed to be. The poor kid was sweating and he's face was filled with panic and if I know anything about the look on his face, it one of worry And sadness. That kind of look meant that they needed to talk to somebody.

"Hey, Patrick?"
Why don't you come have a sit and let's get to know each other a little more " I said sitting down on the couch.

"Oh...um, of course, yeah." He sat down next to me,
"So tell me a bit about yourself, and your band I have heard some of your songs and they are amazing. The lyrics say a lot to me"I said placing my hand on his knee (In a non flirtatious manner you dirty minded people)

"Um..well the band has been together for 16 years we are all very good friends, we tell each other everything." He said a bit nervous. "So tell me about the boys in the band like names and who plays what. " I said making sure to pay attention to his body language, I didn't want to make him uncomfortable or anything.

"There's me, Joe, Andy...and, Pete." It was pretty obvious with the way he said Pete's name, in his nervous manner that there was something going on. "Pete? You guys are really close, right?" I said, to which he replied:

"Y-yeah we are but it's mostly because we're always together writing the lyrics to the songs so we kinda really bonded because of that." He finished, It was pretty obvious to me that talking about Pete was relaxing him a little.

"Pete sounds cool, what's he like?" He seemed to brighten at the question, sitting up a little straighter and smiling slightly. "He's really nice, creative, he's also really funny! He can read people really well, he's an amazing writer, he's perfect and, and um, yeah." He finished

his small ramble, then blushes, realizing that he rambled on and called Pete Perfect. It was pretty easy to tell he liked Pete
"I hope you don't mind me asking but-....do you happen to like Pete? As in like have a crush on him, or whatever the term is currently?" I saw Patrick's eyes widen, the question caught him off guard slightly.

"Oh uh...can you keep a secret?" He sounded like a middle schooler, but I nodded anyway. I keep secrets, he could trust me. "Yeah...I "like" Pete, don't tell anyone though. Paparazzi would kill for that kinda info. Pete doesn't know either"

"Oh I see well...why haven't you asked him is the big question? " I said getting up and gesturing for  him to follow me into my studio room.

"Umm...well, it's just Umm..I don't want to ruin anything...like if I say something and he doesn't like me back it could end not only our friendship but maybe even the band.." He mumbled

"Well here's another question how do you know he doesn't feel the same way.."I asked keeping a close eye on him, I didn't want to make him uncomfortable. "That's the thing, I don't but I don't want to find out either. I'm scared to even think of what he may or may not say..he says placing his hand to the sound board.

"If you don't ask, or even try you may lose the chance of something ever happening between you two, I been there myself I have seen the ups and downs of all of this. You don't have to ask him you could have other people try and figure it out for you, and if he doesn't feel the same he still wouldn't know you do" I said getting up, and walking into the booth to record my part for the song. It's titled Save Rock And Roll...

We finished recording, Patrick's vocals were honestly stunning. I'm pretty sure mine were just as good to. After we recorded, we started talking more and more. I let him ramble on about Pete, since he had no one else he could ramble on to about the topic. By the end of the conversation I knew the exact brand of whiskey Pete's eyes apparently looked like,

I knew how funny his jokes were, and apparently to Patrick he was perfect.
He had been talking about Pete when he pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket, handing it to me. "It's, It's not done yet, but tell me if its good...and be honest..." There was a title at the top of the paper, which read Miss Missing You and what looked to be around ¾'s of a song.

I read each line carefully, and I could feel Patrick's eyes staring at me, waiting to see if his song was good or not. The song was beautiful, it had highs and lows, sadness with the perfect twinge of happiness.

It was also, very, very, VERY, obvious that it was about Pete..."Patrick...this is a very beautiful song you have written , meaning and the words, are just beautiful. I would love to hear it when it's done." I said, handing him the paper."It's nothing really, just something that popped into my head. " he says getting up and gathering his things.

"Oh but I think it's something more then just "nothing" I smiled and winked at him, he laughed and thanked me for everything and how big of a fan he was, and how I inspired him...

"Don't thank me just, yet because what I'm about to tell you you may not like," I said standing up, and walking him to the door.

"O-okay...what's that?" He asked in confusion. "You can only use my part of the song...if you tell Pete how you feel about him, I said standing in the doorway.."I-I Umm..I will soon I just need to work up the nerve." He said making his way to the exit..

"Okay but make sure you tell me when you do!" I yelled, knowing that he probably won't. Because of how shy he was, and how nervous he got, just by talking about Pete.."

I sit down, going over it in my head. How does a nice kid like him end up and such a messed up situation? But I know I'm right. He better tell him before it's to late, before Pete ends up finding someone else.

That's not going to be fun for Patrick, when he has to watch the love of his life with someone else. I should know because I been there before, but now it's up to him. I did my part and I'm happy with what I think the outcome should be, if the poor kid ever opens his mouth to say the words .
