"Ok, 1 minute everyone" Someone shouts. I head to the entrance of the stage so I could watch Brin walk onto the stage with Matthew. She was wearing her huge headpiece with a piece I called winter coat dress. It was a light grey dress that looked like a coat. It was one of my favourite pieces, along with the dress I was going to be wearing out. I watch Brin and Matthew walk out and as soon as they were back I head backstage to get ready. I had a screen up in front of me so I could watch the show as I got dressed. I had people come over to do my hair and makeup for me. My makeup was subtle and pretty, while my hair was braided to the side. I left my necklace and ring on, all I changed was my earrings, I put on a pair of wing, feather earrings. I also put on a silver necklace. I had to put my shoes on before the dress as it wasn't the easiest thing to move around in. My shoes were a simple pair of white ankle boots. I tie them up, then I get into my dress, with some help from Sarah. It was a gorgeous light ice blue colour. It had this feather effect going all the way down the bodice until it reached the knee where it changed into actual feathers. The sleeves were a sliver, but they were made from plastic. There were covered in glitter and it was just beautiful. When I was finally ready I head back to behind the curtain. All my models were waiting to walk onto the stage. They would all walk on first and stand at either side of the runway, that's when I would walk onto the stage. I watch all my models walk out and I wait for Sarah to give me the thumbs up to tell me to go. I had a tradition that at every runway when I was halfway down the catwalk I would pick out an audience member who would walk down with me and get to go backstage. I was halfway down when I spot Trish who interviewed me earlier. Everyone was waiting for me to choose. I point at Trish and she was so surprised she wasn't even sure I was pointing at her. I gesture for her to come onto the stage. I link arms with her and we walk down the rest of the runway together. On the way back up the runway, my models would follow me back. We were all backstage and the crowd were still cheering. I had to wait for them to stop before I headed back out to give my speech. Sarah was speaking to Trish, instructing her of what was going to happen. Not only did the audience member get to walk with me and be backstage. they also got to go to the after party and wear an exclusive dress that they would be showing during my speech.
"you ready?" I ask Trish as she is zipped into her dress.
"yeah. one question how did you know what size I was?" she asks
"I didn't I make a dress for every size then sell them. You get to keep that one though" I smile and she looked so happy.
"ok, Jade go" Sarah mouths at me. I squeeze Trish's hand then let go so I could go back out. The crowd claps then quiet down.
"Firstly I would like to thank you all for coming to another one of my shows. It is an absolute honour to have you all here. I want to thank everyone who has supported me not only for the show but through everything in my career. I have so many more people to thank, but first, I would like to show you my exclusive, one of a kind, limited edition dress. Which is being warn by the very stunning and very beautiful Trish Jacobs." I say clapping as she walks onto stage. She had her hair and makeup done, she was now wearing a pair of heels and my dress. It looked perfect on her, the skirt of the dress, flowed behind her as she walked with perfect posture. the bodice hugging her torso tightly. The bodice was covered in sequins that trailed slightly down the skirt. There was a slit in the skirt and the whole thing was made out of silk. She reaches my side and smiles hugely. She walks back down the runway, everyone clapping and whistling. When the crowd died down I finished my speech.
"It has been a very long year of designing, making and changing things. I started planning this show back in June and 5 months later it is finally a reality. If it wasn't for Sarah my personal assistant and one of my good friends this show wouldn't be this successful. I don't know what I would do without her." I finish up my speech, one I was making up as I was going along. I just prayed I didn't miss anything out.
"let's give one more applause for my wonderful models," I say clapping as they walk back onto the stage. "thank you, everyone, for coming. Good night" I say and I leave the stage.
"can someone please cut me out of this dress" I shout when I get backstage. Sarah comes over and hugs me
"that was a really good show," She says
"I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without you Sarah" I smile at her. I do work Sarah hard but I appreciated everything she has done for me.
"It wouldn't have happened without you though," She says
"thanks. now get me out of this dress please" I beg. she laughs and helps me take it off. I take a deep breath being able to breathe properly again.
"thanks," I say as she hangs the dress up along with the others.
"I'll meet you at the after party," she says and I nod as she walks off.
"Elijah there you are" I smile as he walks over
"that was so good. when I saw you come out in that dress my jaw dropped" He told me. He started to blush slightly. I lean up and kiss him.
"I wish I didn't have to go to the after party" I grumble wishing we could go home and be along together.
"you have to go," He says.
"I know," I say. "I have to get dressed into the last outfit of the night." I sigh
"I don't think anything can top the last one," Elijah says and I raise my eyebrows.
"I don't know, I know one outfit that could top it" I smirk and he raised his eyebrow "my birthday suit" I whisper in his ear. He chuckles and I grab the bag that contained my last outfit.
