Victoria's Point Of View

"Do you like it?" Dustin asked, with a nervous smile.

"Like it? Dustin, I love it." I gushed, looking at the candles and flowers, "It's amazing." He used the lopsided smile again, and it touched his eyes, making them shine, "You did all this?"

"Of course. I wanted our first date to be your definition of perfect."

"My definition?" He nodded, "What do you mean?"

"Well, I assumed that your definition of a perfect first date is something along these lines. Romantic..intimate." His eyes sparkled beautifully and his smile spread across his face.

"What would your definition of a perfect date be?"

"Any date that involves you." Butterflies erupted in my stomach, I realized that this is the first time I had ever felt like this with anyone. I loved every second of it. The waiter came by with a menu.

"Good evening. I will be your waiter for tonight. May I start you with something to drink?" He asked casually placing menus on the table. Dustin looked at me, which told me to order first.

"I'll just have a water." I said, smiling at the waiter.

"Great!" He grinned back and turned to Dustin, "What will you be having, sir?"

"A water would be good." He said, the waiter nodded and walked off. I opened the menu and scanned the food.

"Are you going to eat?" I asked, smiling above the menu at Dustin.

"Yes. Just for the most beautiful girl in the world." I put the menu over my face, because I felt my cheeks heat.

"Aw. You are doing it for me?"

"Absolutely." He said, his face growing serious. "Victoria, I would do anything for you." I wanted to scream out of happiness, and I think he knew it because a smile replaced the line that his mouth had been pressed in. The waiter came back and placed the waters down on the table.

"Are you ready to order?" He asked, with a grin.

"Go ahead, Victoria." Dustin smiled and looked down at his menu.

"I'll have the house salad. Dressing on the side." I smiled at the waiter and he turned to Dustin.

"I'll have the steak."

"How would you liked that cooked?" Dustin smirked at me as he spoke the next words.

"Rare."

"Excellent. And potatoes or peas on the side?" The waiter picked up the menus with a single scoop of his arm.

"Potatoes." Dustin answered, his gaze steady.

"Great. Your dinner will be out shortly!" The waiter scurried away and I smiled back at Dustin.

"I don't think he knew that you wanted the cow still alive, when you said rare." I joked, and Dustin chuckled appreciatively.

"I guess i'll have to tell him." I shrugged and took a sip of my water.

The food had arrived, and we ate. The food was amazing, the whole night was. Dustin barely touched his food, and we went out to his car after he had paid. He opened the door for me and as I got in, I checked the time on the car radio. It read 8:03 P.M. I wondered if this would be the end of our date, I hoped that it wasn't. This was easily the best date I had ever been on, and it had nothing to do with where we had went. Dustin got in and started driving.

"Are you taking me home?" I asked, casually and Dustin chuckled.

"No, unless you want me to." I shook my head violently, "Good. Because I have one more thing to do." We drove and he took one hand off the wheel and twined his hand with mine. I looked at his icy hand that was placed in mine, and I realized it had never fit so perfectly in anyone's hand before. We pulled up to some place, but it was to dark for me to see much. Dustin opened my door and helped me out. He wrapped a strong arm around my waist and led me. He led me to a dock and within a second, lights came on, lighting up the water. It was beautiful, I turned to Dustin and he looked at me, nervously.
