The Nerd is The Bad Girl?

Chapter One

_Chapter One_

Mindy.

'Bitch', 'Slut', 'Whore'. These are just some of the things I get called walking down the hallway. Right now I'm heading to my 4th period, Mr. Millican's class. It is advanced writing. I walk down the hall way with my head held down low, so I don't draw attention to myself.

"Hey Bell." Gina (my best friend) says, walking to me.

"Hey Gi." I say looking up to see her bright blue eyes.

"Well I just wanted to say hi before I got to class so hi." Gina says happily.

"Hi..." I say trailing off at the end.

"Well bye, class is going to start in like a minute." Gina rambled walking off.

"Bye." I mumble.

I start to walk in the direction of class with my head low.

"Hey slut!" Mindy yells.

Mindy is the head cheer leader and she has been bullying me for about two years. I walk faster so I could get to class. Right before I go into the classroom someone pulls me back by my hair. It took everything in me not to scream at them.

"When I'm talking to you I expect an answer, Understand?" Mindy says pulling harder on my hair.

"Yes." I say in a fake weak voice.

"Good, now go away before I go blind from your ugly ass face!" Mindy spat.

She lets go of my hair and walks away. I fix my pony tail before entering the class. When I walk in everyone is there. Its a small class, it only has 14 people in it, including me. Right as I take a seat the bell rings. Thank God. I think to myself.

"Take a seat, class." Mr. Millican says.

Everyone in the class takes a seat in the two front rows.

"So as you all know writing finals are in about three weeks. So I want to assign you a writing project about something you dislike about our school." Mr. Millican explains.

"Now get started." Mr. Millican announces.

I get out a blank sheet of paper and a pen. I head the paper with my name and 'things I dislike about this school.' I start to jot down random things I don't like, then it hits me bullying. I hate it,and its something that happens a lot at our school. I write it down then circle it.

"Hey bell, what are you doing your assignment about?" My friend Tre' asks.

"Well I was thinking something like bullying, what about you?" I ask.

"I'm going to be doing something about the lunches." Tre' says.

"That's cool." I say with a small smile.

"Yeah..." He says trailing off at the end.

"Yeah..." I say copying him.

"Well I'm going to go work on the assignment so good luck." Tre' said walking off.

I turn back my paper and jot some things down about the bullying and start to clean up. As soon as all my stuff was all put in my binder, the bell rings. Everyone rushes out including me. I go to my locker to see the word 'Slut' in black marker across my locker. I open it and and stuff in it. I close my locker and start off to the library to get the book 'Divergent'. Gina says its a good book so I want to read it. I soon get near the library before I hear hushed yelling. I peek over the corner to see Tanner and Mindy. Why is the bad ass of the school fighting with the head cheer leader? I ask myself

"Why the hell would you fucking cheat on me!" Tanner whisper yelled.

"Because he gave me something you couldn't." Mindy hissed

"I'm sorry I don't want to catch a S.T.D." Tanner seethed

"Whatever." Mindy said truing on her heels to walk away.

"Oh, and if its not clear, we are over." Tanner said stopping away. They were dating?!? Wait 'away' is in my direction. should I pretend if i didn't see anything...to late he ready saw me. shit.

"How much did you hear?" Tanner asked

"I... um...I" I stumble for words

"Well..." Tanner said cutting me off.

"Enough to hear she cheated on you because you wouldn't sleep with her." I say finding my words.

"Oh..well can you not tell anyone about this..." Tanner asked rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yeah, for sure." I say with a small smile.

"Your Bella, Right?" He says.

How the hell dose he know me. I'm a nobody.

"Yeah... that's me." I say with a big cheesy smile.

"Yeah your that smart chick who hangs out with Gina." Tanner says matter 'o' factlly

"Yeah that' me." I say playing with my thumbs.

"Well I gotta get to lunch, so..." Tanner said

"Bye." I say about to walk away. But he grabs my arm.

"See you soon, Bella." Tanner says with a small smile walking away.

That was weird. I walk into the library and look for the book Divergent, when I found it I went over and checked it out. Then I walked to my locker and grabbed my glasses. I then walk into the lunch room and make my way over to the side table next to the windows, not caring to eat. I then open to chapter one and start to read the book Divergent.
