He and his team of scientists were in Antarctica at this time. They include: Shane Watson (the leader), Drake Simmons (the heavy lifter), Ed Trinton (the brains), and Stephane Holkin (the researcher). They were the cyborg's worst fear. They were the humans that used their brains to their full potential. And me, I'm Shane.
I had brown hair and a short beard, tanned skin, and deep green eyes.
Ed was asian. He had short black hair, and dark brown eyes. He was also quite tall.
Drake had dark skin, he was bald, and had brown eyes.
Stephane had blonde hair, lightly tanned skin and beautiful hazel eyes. When we all moved back into Australia in their boat, everything was different. We just knew it.
Once we got to the mainland, we were attacked, Drake was at least. A chip jumped into his idea and covered his brain and overtook his eyes. The only problem was, he was stronger. The chip didn't know what was happening, it had done everything it needed to take control, but it wasn't in control. Using his sheer brainpower, Drake overtook the chip, but was badly damaged. His face was now covered in metal sheets and his eyes were glassy with a red tint, but it was still him. He was crying out in pain, rolling around on the floor, his ear was bleeding and tears were streaming down his face. I had medical training and knelt down next to him, I checked his pulse, it was still pulsing. We picked up a loose sheet of metal and laid Drake on it and continued inland.
We were encountered by a robot 5 minutes later on, that's when the biggest surprise came. The robots charged at Ed, and Ed stared at it, "flexed his mind", and sent out an EMP with his brain. The robot shut down immediately in a shower of sparks, but so did Drake. Drake's head flowed sparks and he went unconscious. We continued on, in search of our lab, to understand what was going on better. The next surprise came to us. A cyborg approached them. Stephane was the one to react this time. She stepped up, looked the cyborg in the eye and lifted him in the air, she sent him flying back into a brick wall, and he fell, breaking his bionic legs in the process. Stephane then mentally picked up a sharp piece of metal, and sent it straight through the cyborg's chest, slicing it's heart in half.
We kept going, the lab was close by, only 2 blocks away. We didn't want to encounter any more robots or cyborgs, because Stephanie and Ed both said that they felt tired, so we didn't pressure them to do it again. I looked into Stephane's beautiful hazel eyes, then looked away again, embarrassed, though I had no idea why.
We snuck through one block, ducking behind trash cans, to avoid being spotted. We had a few close calls. We passed two robots and a cyborg. We thought that one of the robots and the cyborg had seen us. But they passed by us without a problem.
We could see our lab now. Just across the street. I knew that it would be safe in there as we four were the only ones who could access it, it needed a retinal scan, a finger scan, a voice scan, and a pin number, the only reason we had that much security on it, was because Ed, who built all the security, was a big fan of Disney movies, his favourite being The Incredibles, and wouldn't you know it, his favourite character was Edna Mode. But in this case, I was glad he put an insanely high amount of security on that door.
We crept through an alley way and made our way across the street. A mech suit spots us. There is a cyborg inside who's wired up to it. He makes his way towards us, raising his arm-mounted minigun, and pointed it towards us.
Drake opened his eyes.
We hadn't noticed it, but now, metal sheets, covered half of his body, covering both his shoulders, the right side of his chest, his right arm, the right side of his stomach, and his right leg.
As quick as a flash, he jumped up, raised his right arm, and a shotgun emerged, he started firing at the mech's windows, a shoulder mounted rocket launcher appeared from his shoulder, and he started firing missiles at the mech. The mech's leg exploded, sliding across the road, while taking heavy fire from Drake. It exploded. The heat wave of the mech washed over us. We all looked at Drake, and he looked at us.
We opened up the wooden door which concealed the real door. We walked through a passage to big steel doors. We did the retinal scan, the fingerprint scan, the voice scan, and the pin number, the doors open and we walk through them. We went in the elevator as I may have forgotten to mention, our lab was 7 stories, all of them going into the ground. When we arrived at our medical bay, where I would occasionally help out, but was mainly run by robotic arms, and robotic doctors, not evil robot doctors, good robot doctors. Ed, Stephane, and Drake all lay down in the medical beds. A robotic arm, accompanied by a robot doctor walked up to Drake, they tried to pry the metal from Drake's body, but each time they pulled, he would cry out in pain, and Drake was by far our strongest, toughest team member.
Ed and Stephane seemed to be completely fine, nothing wrong with them. I was glad nothing happened to Stephane, oh and Ed too, how did I forget Ed, why in my mind, did I worry so much more about Stephane's safety, then I did with Drake and Ed, I don't know why, but I would have to think about it later. The doctor did a quick check on me, everything was alright with me, I thought this would be the case, as I hadn't done anything like lifting things with my mind, or sent out EMP's, or been overtaken by a robotic chip.
Drake's condition was terrible, he was drifting in and out of consciousness, he looked sick, and kept saying that he had to vomit. The doctor said that he would most likely die, or if he lived, that he would be sentenced to bed for the rest of his life.
